It really is a sacrifice going to football and a lot of dedication is needed. Add that to rising costs, footballers who live on another planet and the loss of what use to be a working mans sport and it has become a slog.
I find myself liking less and less players and think there's less maverick and enjoyable players from all teams nowadays to really justify the sacrifice.
Falling out of love with football somewhat, and that's before this years absolute mess of a season.
Can you sell your your ticket back to the club if you don't attend?
You could renew and wait for things to improve?

Good post. Thanks for sharing.
I'd say if your a fed up/hassled with it all....then it's a hell of alot of money to be laying out and feeling like that.
I think its worth going with next season and then seeing what happens, you may regret having to join gthe back of the queue.
When i moved out of London i kept the ST and was able to sell some of the tickets to mitigate the cost but go to games when i could.
I had to give it up a couple years later and i dont regret it as I have other commitments on a saturday with both my son's teams and can usually get to a game when i want to.
If the money is not the be all and end all, i would keep it, re-sell your ticket on games you can and go when you can and if in a year our hopes are as low as they are now then you may well get crushed in the stampede to give up your ST.
I would say that its always been the case the ST renews come in b4 the pre season and transfer window etc. In fact i seem to remember it being far earlier than 1st June in the past. May be its because the season is ending late.
I also think that Kane will not be leaving but accept i may be in a small minority here.
Bear in mind Gezza, as rough as it's been for the last 4 years, all it takes is for Levy to stumble across the right manager and the mood changes. Look at Ramos to Redknapp and then AVB/Sherwood to Poch. The swing is huge with the right man at the helm. Do we trust Levy to make the right appointment? Almost definitely not. However, a bit like when he turned to Poch when Van Gaal turned us down, he might luck out with the right man. If, as expected, he pushes for Nagelsmann and he ends up going to Chelsea or elsewhere, he might look in the direction of Arne Slot, who is looking more and more the right fit for us if you think about where we are as a club. I've resigned myself to the idea that Poch won't be coming back but I'd be more than happy with Slot. Someone, anyone, that sees us as a step up for themselves is what we need.
Slot has worked wonders very quickly at his two previous clubs so you might end up regretting letting go of your ST. If it were me, I'd hold out until the next man comes in. If he's a stinker, bin at the end of next year.

Problem is, the hope and optimism is what grips you. It's what makes people renew and it never impacts Levy.
People need to turn their backs to make real change. Iv done my part after 10 years of holding a ST. I wish our fans demanded more from the club TBH
I also think that Kane will not be leaving but accept i may be in a small minority here.
---------
This is an interesting notion, may I ask ( sincerely) whether you think this because:
1) Kane is old school, putting his team above is own personal targets. As rare a sentiment as it is admirable....
2) The next coach will persuade him to stay with a genius project to offer.
3) Levy will let his contract run out without agreeing to sell at any price.

I want Devonshire to be right but having watched United yesterday... If you put Kane into that team with the likes of Rashford, Casimeiro, Ericsson, Bruno, Anthony, Sancho, Martial, Martinez, Verane, Shaw, Dalot, DeGea some good young players coming through with a good manager... They are PL and CL contenders. If they get their T/O sorted and offer Levy $100mln and Kane makes it clear he wants out, I dunno how or why the deal doesn't happen.
We are a total mess as a club and Kane is in his pomp.... he doesn't have the time to deal with Levy & all his BS
Gezza, I totally get what you’re talking about
I’ve had a season ticket since the 90’s and I will be renewing for next season but the mood of the fans is very low at the moment.
As others have said you can always put your ticket on the exchange for some games or sell to a mate like I have for the United game.
I’m surprised Levy is letting us wait until June and hope we get a new manager who will play attractive football
I don’t think we will get top 4 and if we end up In Europa or Europa conference then most of our games will be on a Sunday which is a pain.
Bake used to sit a couple of rows behind me and since he stopped going the foul language has gone down quite a bit.
Knowing Levy he'll be asking 50mln for Sanchez and there's 2 hopes of that happening. Thats enough of a reason not to renew your ST

Yes watching the way Utd dealt with Forest yesterday and comparing it with our recent performances against Prem strugglers made difficult viewing.
I hope Levy understands how essential it is that this managerial appointment is the correct man. We've tried the bloke in his 50's with a great cv and a stubborn defensive outlook to the game and now we need a completely different character.
We want a youngish fella who's best days are infront rather than behind him who attempts to play an attacking possession based style with a new keeper who is comfortable with the ball at his feet and isn't captain.
Thanks guys. I think the idea of keeping hold of my season ticket and selling match days via the exchange is a good one. And as most have said, if things don't improve (or get considerably worse) I'll not renew for 24/25.

I'm not a season ticket holder, but I will get to as many games as I can again next season. Being a supporter means you take the rough with the smooth.
A relegation battle can be quite exciting. I have seen one or two at Spurs. When I started supporting Spurs in 1958 they were bottom of the table for a bit, and eventually finished 18th.

Yeah, much better than a push for the title or a run to the CL final
I wonder if he now regrets the direction the club took in 2019. I told him then it was a disastrous move but he wouldn't listen.
Well you've got your way Sandy. It's now confirmed that, barring a miracle, Poch ain't coming back. Levy shares the same reservations as you. How does it feel to have the same football brain as Daniel Levy? I'll give you a moment to let that one sink in.
This isn’t Tottenham Hotspur. This is Enic. They chose to create an atmosphere of business and customer rather than club and fan. They prioritise commercial interests over football every time and that is what has lead to the separation many feel from the club.
Any feelings of glory and hope are just pure nostalgia now. Levy has only got the manager choice right three times in 23 years and he sacked all three.
I’m glad that Enic have made a commercial success out of Tottenham Hotspur, but they have killed all that it stands for. There’s nothing there of ‘to dare is to do’ or Danny blanchflower talking about the glory game. Enic are not interested in that at all. Levyproved that when he appointed nuno after declaring he understood our dna.
If you accept all that, understand that you will be watching a division of an entertainment business and you feel the price is right, go ahead.
If you want to be part of a football family, go to a local non league club. That’s what I do.
Don’t let anyone tell you every premier league club is run like this. It isn’t. Only enic fc.

Tottenham Hotspur from 1882 until 1961 won precisely three trophies in 78 years. Good job you and others were not around supporting them during that time. ENIC were nowhere to be seen either.
Serious question though Sandy and I want a yes or no answer.
Are we better now than we were under Poch?

"A relegation battle can be quite exciting."
Classic sandy

Yeah, much better than a push for the title or a run to the CL final
I wonder if he now regrets the direction the club took in 2019. I told him then it was a disastrous move but he wouldn't listen.
Well you've got your way Sandy. It's now confirmed that, barring a miracle, Poch ain't coming back. Levy shares the same reservations as you. How does it feel to have the same football brain as Daniel Levy? I'll give you a moment to let that one sink in.

Seen Spurs win the title as well. Something you will never see.
Stop moaning and get behind the team. Moaning to@@#ers like you do my brain in.
I thought you said you were done with the club.
Potless Poch.
