-33 in the goals Colombian speaks volumes. Sky are intimating Gerrard to take over, been at our last two games, worked with Ross Wilson at Rangers, things are starting to look ominous for Cooper.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
God that would be terrible. I saw him linked with Galatasaray which seemed like he was being groomed for Forest.
If we go down Coops will the best person to get us back up. He knows the league well. Gerard not so much.
Totally agree, Cooper is still a young man learning his trade. He may have his faults, but i am still 100% behind him. I questioned his starting line up today, but the first half Liverpool created little, we stayed in the game, and but for the fact out defence is woeful, we’d have got something out of this match. Twice we scored and on each occasion we conceded within 3 or 4 minutes, its been the story of our season, if not conceding in batches, then conceding in either added time, or immediately at the beginning of the second half. Results went against us today, but amazingly we are still in touch. We just have to keep hoping.
This morning ‘fans’ were saying they don’t mind losing as long as we put the effort in and give it a good go. We did just that and now they’re moaning saying we can’t defend corners or we missed too many chances.
No pleasing some people
Not sure what point you are trying to make Red, we gave it a real good go, that doesn’t alter the fact that we can’t defend set plays, and have to be more ruthless in front of goal. Don’t see anyone moaning about the level of performance, just the poor defending and missing our chances. As for pleasing people, i am very pleased with the overall performance, but very disappointed with the way we conceded simple goals, and in particular the timing of the goals we conceded, two minutes after half time and only a few minutes after we had got back into the game, surely even you can see the frustration we feel. I’m not knocking the team at all, and will be there on Wednesday, unfortunately putting in good performances without getting points will see us go down all too meekly. We need to keep the fight and spirit going, along with scoring a few more goals.
That was a brilliant game of football. Pity about the bloody result!
We’re getting better every game! But will it be fast enough?’
Something Cooper said in his press conference which I think is pertinent before today’s performance. We’ve taken points off everyone except Arsenal:
Forest 1 - Liverpool 0
Liverpool 3 - Forest 2
Brighton 0 - Forest 0
Forest v Brighton - TBD
Forest 2 - Brentford 2
Brentford v Forest - TBD
Southampton 0 - Forest 1
Forest v Southampton - TBD
Forest 1 - Chelsea 1
Chelsea v Forest - TBD
Forest 1 - C Palace 0
C Palace v Forest - TBD
Today’s performance and that stat gives me more confidence than before the game.

Wasn’t referring to people on here, Dave, but people on twitter who are still urging a change of manager and slagging off our younger players in particular. Some even criticising Navas, and Felipe. Unbelievable

Good stats ,chile. Even more optimistic now.
Red, pleased to say i don’t do twitter, or any of the other ‘socials’. Can’t believe people still want a change of manager, and regarding the players, the only one i was disappointed with was Freuler, again, i had high expectations for him, but tbh he’s been pretty poor.
Certainly like the stats, and after this round of fixtures, it certainly shows that ALL teams involved are up for the fright, there were some excellent team performances from teams at the bottom.
That should say ‘fight’ but maybe fright is just as apt.
Not sure who I want to win at Wembley today. Definitely want extra time. Would we be better off playing them after being beaten, or after winning?
BHA certainly have a good shout at 5th spot, because of their games in hand.
4th is probably not realistic, however, should they reach the cup final, would they be guaranteed a European spot anyway. Totally agree, BHA to win on pens aet.
Forest have won something! ladies national league cup!
That has got to be both physically and mentally shattering. Feel for BHA, let’s hope they are still feeling sorry for themselves on Wednesday. Physically I’m sure they’ll recover, but that has got to hurt.
As a team they really are a handful, we’ll have to be at our absolute best, especially at set plays.
Fingers crossed.

Yeah...that's hard to be playing again so soon after losing on penalties. 120 minutes of football and a long trip up to Nottingham gives us the best hope of getting a result...hopefully a win!
Looking at other results this weekend then just maybe we aren't as bad as some of our supporters think.
Lost 4-0 to West Ham away, they beat Bournemouth by the same score in Bournemouth.
Lost 2-1 to Newcastle in added time, they put six past Spurs.
Lose 3-2 to Liverpool at Anfield, with them having a fully fit squad. They had recently put seven past Man United.
Other than our 4-0 loss to West Ham (and multiple losses to Man United) we haven't lost by more than 2 goals since Arsenal away.
In the last seven games we have played and lost to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 16th placed teams...is it really surprising that we haven't been gaining points?
The stars are aligning!
