A relieved told that if Ryan Mason doesn’t work out the tea lady is next in line.

Trying to think of this myself:

1. Emery was one because we got spanked by Villa
2. Lopetugui
3. Someone in Europa (Sevilla I think?)

Blanking now.

I don't think getting rid of an interim manager comes with the same bounce as getting rid of a manager.

Also faced Everton soon after Dyche took over, but I don't know technically how long you can count it as a new manager scenario for bounce measuring purposes.

Maybe City will sack Pep just before the Cup Final.

Tory basstards.

Of course, with more than half the PL managers sacked this season, it's a statistical certainty for every team to face at least two or three new manager bounces. We're probably not uniquely cursed in that respect.

3. Ted Lasso (Leeds)
4. Frankie (Everton)
5. I maintain someone in Europa league, not sure who.

Biggest spankings though have come against the longest serving managers,Liverpool,Brentford and City, would they be old manager bounce?

I came across some sports science research (based on aggregating a huge amount of data from Australian rugby, if I recall) which concluded that consistency of personnel over a long enough period is the single biggest factor in team success. So there could be something in the old manager bounce.

I guess there's also a correlation / causation question here: I guess you change personnel less if you're doing well.

An Everton fan trolling us - I guess this is rock bottom. The only club in history to flout FFP to spend half a billion in order to go from mid table obscurity to relegation, having to watch Dyche ball, not won anything since pre spice girls and on the verge of financial collapse. That guy is trolling us now.

I'd say a new manager bounce would only work when players are trying to impress a new permanent manager. They got no bounce when Conte left so why expect it when interim manager number 2 is in charge?

For one thing they'll be freed of the shackles applied by the previous two (three if you count Nuno, four if you count Jose) managers. There can't surely be any doubt that they will play significantly better on Thursday than they have done in recent times

Overnight transition? Look at their midfield options and there isn't a single one that is anything other than a functional destroyer in that area. They are poor in midfield and at the back and are there for the taking

Look at United's midfield options. Look at Liverpool's for the last 5 years for goodness sake. Not having it, they'll play like men possessed on Thursday. They've sacked the interim in anticipation of this massive massive massive game against United and the Spurs stadium will be rocking
