Watch out for Brighton for 5th spot (14 points won from their last 7 games) although they still have to play Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle,
Villa 19 points from 21 last 7 games (26 from 30) so very much the team in form
Was saying on the live thread a couple of weeks ago how Emery's work has gone under the radar a bit. He has an underrated record at clubs like Villa.
Emery is a good manager imo.
Although theh have to play team above and around them, that's also a good opportunity.
Should be able to win 3/5.
Will that be enough?
Man Utd 1 point
Wolves 3 points
Spurs 3 points cos they are shiete
Liverpool 0 points
Brighton all to play for hopefully a win
Villa have done well but that run in is brutal, I mean if Villa only took 5/6 points from that you wouldn’t be surprised.
Brightons run in is diabolical as well - plus they have 5 first teamers missing for the game at Forest tonight.
Liverpool have a relatively soft run in and I expect them to take 5th now.
Spurs/Villa/Brighton to battle out the last 2 Euro spots. We’re in free fall at the moment but 3 of our last 4 are kind fixtures doing if we can muster 10 points I think that will see us make one of the spots
soft run in but teams fighting for their survival, sometimes that is more difficult

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I reckon:
United - 0 points
Wolves - 1 point
Spurs - 3 points
Liverpool - 0 points
Brighton - 3 points
Would leave Spurs needing 8 points to finish above you
United (H) - 1 point
Liverpool (A) - 0 points
Palace (H) - 3 points
Villa (A) - 0 points
Brentford (H) - 3 points
Leeds (A) - 3 points
Whether that gets us conference or Europa I don’t know

The only side that will still be fighting for survival when they play them is Leicester. West Ham are safe now, they will pick up a couple of points somewhere else. Southampton will already be down come the last day of the season.
Liverpool will walk it now
Had they appointed Emery a month earlier they may well be in the CL places now.
Emery is doing a great job with Villa.
I dont think any team will 'walk' it, will come down to the final day imo
Emery is arguably the best mid manager in the world if that makes sense.
How the hell have we got 3 games in hand on Villa btw??

Agree to differ, as well as Emery has done your run in is as difficult as it gets
Liverpool, Brighton still have to get the points in the bag with the games in hand, no guarantee

I assume because we’ve reached 2 cup finals and 2 games cancelled over the Queen’s death.

Brighton I agree will struggle but it’s tailor made for Liverpool to finish strongly now and salvage something from their schitts how of a season
fixtures yes, but have 4 games in 10/11 days

That’s nothing, they have spent years doing that when you factor in Euro commitments - completely used to it
You can't rely on Liverpool at all this season. Could easily get pumped by someone.
Expecting Brighton to have a bit of a slump now. Seem to picking up a few injuries as well.
Villas run in is hard, but it means you have your destiny in your own hands.
Still expect the top 5 to be City, Arsenal, Utd, Utd, Liverpool.
