If we don't beat Chelsea I'll be furious. They've not even looked like winning and if we drop more points it will just look like we've completely checked out.
That's the problem you face when it gets taken out of your hands! Even if you smashed all of them teams it will count for nothing if City do the same. City don't even have to win all theirs. You've bottled it so much over the past 3/4 games that you have even given City wiggle room to possibly lose one
A squad that lacked experienced winners and it's shown over the past month.
Lampards first 3 points incoming. We will lose or draw the rest of our games and finish 3rd with Newcastle pipping us to 2nd
Chelsea on the beach but no doubt they will treat the game with us as their cup final and go all out.
Hyperbole to say the least. We probably felt like this at the start of last season when we lost to Brentford and got played off the park by City and Chelsea. Then the following season we have topped the table for about 98% of it and still do currently.
Things change in football very quickly as the past 6 weeks have shown since losing Saliba and Tomiyasu in the same game. We know what needs to be done so you can be sure the Arteta and the club know.
We assumed last season that we'd blown our best chance of top 4 because Newcastle, Spurs, Chelsea and United would all get stronger with Liverpool and City being the teams fighting for the title. Some fans really need a reality check after we lose a game.
We should try and at least get 2nd.
I want Man Utd and Newcastle to lose

Yeah, it's quite a turn around tbh.
Trossard gets player of the month for March but no start in April ?
Last five games:
Arsenal WDDDL
M City WWWW
It's over!
We were ALWAYS going to lose to Man City this season no matter how well we were playing at any time this season. They have too much for us player vs player and their coach is tactically on a different level. No disrespect to Arteta as he is learning and the players as they are young and our squad is no where near as good.
However...our season had never been about beating Man City. And if we wanted to win the league, we need to be near perfect in most games. We lost this vs Everton away - a team that was on the ropes. We lost this vs Licerpool away - a team that was creaking, crowd silenced. We lost this away to West Ham by being too casual. We lost this at home to Sputhampton after giving a goal away 30 seconds into the game.
Overall, too many mistakes in games that we should be winning/should have won given our positions in those games. Conceding 11 goals in 4 games is damning too.
Having said all that, we have a core 14 or 15 very good players who are yet to hit their prime. Bring in a CB, DM, CM and ST to rotate in regularly (not wholesale Europa games) and we could go again next season.

Absolutely correct. This Arsenal team has been punching above it's weight all season. Most fans should not be surprised that it is now stumbling. They are still mathematically in the race, but will probably finish in 2nd place. This is better than most people would have predicted at the beginning of the season.
Not a bad season for the Gunners who now need to spend money if they hope to improve next season.

Indeed, improving the squad is the next phase here. I think we could see the back of a few players that we like but maybe aren't good enough for a title challenging side.
A versatile CB, 2 midfielders and a forward are what we need. Whether that comes from investment or players from within the squad already we will see.
I just hope we aren't seriously considering Mason Mount.
