Ten Hag’s biggest mistake was thinking that he didn’t need to move more of this squad on. As shiiiit as Rangnick was he was right about what needed to happen. Nobody at the club, including Ten Hag, thought similarly. And he we are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know he didn’t? We can’t find any buyers for these cretins because of their wages
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wanted to keep De Gea and Ronaldo. That was a stupid decision.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you really believe he wanted to keep Ronaldo?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Based on what? He marginalised him to the point Ronaldo spat his dummy out. Then he stated that he didn't respect ETH.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's more likely ETH prioritised other positions and then was stuck with Ronaldo. I don't want to jump on the bandwagon but I don't think it was wise to spend 86 million on a winger who scored 12 in the Dutch league last season, when we didn't have really anybody guaranteeing even double figures goals elsewhere.

But no, I don't think he wanted to keep Ronaldo. He just didn't want rid of him enough to make it a priority

It would have been a bold move to come in and move him on from the off. I think he played it well.

True. I wanted him out, I'm not going to lie but I would have also liked a replacement to be signed, which the Jan Weg move shows wasn't uncomplicated. There were also very strong rumours the leeches wanted him to remain for commercial reasons. Not to mention his army of fan boys
