will i spend the weekend celebrating the league win... or will I look out every goal Morelos has scored in europe?
only scored in the qualifiers..... ie the most important games of the season financially for the club.

Somebody is taking the treble well!
Wasted tears
In his first few years he was well worth the money but we should have taken the profit when it was offered rather than let him become a rotten asset, which he always had the potential of becoming. If we get another £1m striker who scores 29 goals in Europe alongside the other strengths Morelos brought at his peak then most Rangers fans will be delighted. I'd take Dembele on a free transfer
Despite the generally awful state of our squad, the big rebuild needing done does add a bit of excitement to the next season. We'll need a new talisman leading the attack which will be exciting until they turn out to be piish, a new GK and hopefully a new CB partner for Goldson to bring back that strength in defence. Don't see much changing at full back but there may also be quite a bit of turnover at CM, plus a new winger or Matondo's redemption arc. For better or (can't get much) worse, it will be interesting to see how the team lines up at the start of next season. Hopefully we get our business done early and hit the ground running.
I assume Colak and Sakala will remain backup.
Maja has been linked who i hoped wed sign but hasnt kicked on.

this would be the first thread you have read of Joe's then?
I dont see how this is a WUM?
The overall point is that he was good at Europa League level. And my question is, would Rangers be happy with that level again, or do they need somebody better to kick on into the Champions League and to win something domestically as Morelos is currently 2/18 in trophies.

no rangers fans would be gutted at having to pay 1m to get a player who will score more goals in europe than anyone in scotland in the nearly the last 20 years
If we get someone for £1m who scores goals in every competition they play in and gives us 6 years I'll be delighted. Pound for pound one of the best signings we have made.

Colak in my view isn't good enough so I'd prefer he's moved on or kept if needed as the kind of guy you bring on with 30 minutes to go when needing a goal.
The argument on qualifiers isn't specific to Morelos. If you looked through McCoist's record or even Larsson's - who is top scorer in the competition I believe - the level of opposition is probably similar overall.
Not really something you can hold against any player, they can only perform and score at the level the team plays in. Doesn't mean to say they can't do it as the levels go up, as all 3 of those players did when required.

Not sure anyone is denying that aspect though given that the expectation on both our teams is EL qualification as a minimum and that Rangers only made the CL once mostly on the back of Celtic's coefficient effort then I'm not too sure it is hugely relevant?
