Forest are winning this match. Its a forgone conclusion.
Just a matter of how many goals you will score.
Arsenal were terrible yesterday.
Arsenal’s season seems to have imploded and there is no recovery time for them. They were a very good team at the start of the season but just couldn’t make the distance.
It is probably a good time to be playing them but it will still be a really tough game. A point will be a good result. Then if we have to get something at Palace I think we will.
Awoniyi has made a big difference and has improved considerably, but other young players who have joined us (Williams, Niakhate, Mangala, Danilo, MGW) have benefitted from the Cooper effect. At the same time experienced players who have joined us (Navas, Hendo, Boly, Lodi, Felipe, Kouyate) have embraced the spirit of the squad and given their all for the club and the fans.
Arsenal’s spirit and confidence, unlike ours, will be low and hopefully we can get the three points, but if we have to settle for a draw I would be happy.
1-1
And then you will get another draw on the final day and stay up by a point I reckon.
Leicester desperately need something tonight or I think they could be down before the final day of the season.
Got a feeling Leeds will get out of this at Everton’s expense - they have a completely disinterested West Ham next, 48 hours after their away Euro semi. Then they are re at home to my team Spurs final day and we are faaacking awful, especially away from home.
Southampton and Everton to drop for me Clive, Leicester need to win tonight otherwise Forest will stop up as well
just for a change, another really difficult one to call.
Arsenal will either have the mind set of, 'we've still got a chance', which is the one i expect them adopt, or feel a bit sorry for themselves and maybe not fight quite as hard.
Without knowing what really to expect, i'm going to go for a 2-1 Garibaldi win, and yet again, t'll be everything crossed.
Had City already played and the chase was over, which unfortunately won't happen, our job and prospects would be healthier.
Given this scenario, i think it will be another really tough fixture, but with the right application and a vociferous crowd behind us, i think we can get something out of this game, maybe only a point, but that could be invaluable.
Arteta will i am sure show them the video of their last visit to the WFCG, in the FA cup, when we won 1-0 as a warning as to what to expect if they don't apply themselves.
it's not easy to anticipate either line up as both have injury doubts, hopefully Danilo and Yates will be fit, and Arsenal have at least a couple missing.
The longer we prevent Arsenal scoring the better our chances of winning the game, as per the FA cup game when Grabs scored late on, around 82 minutes i think.
Should Arsenal get an early goal and get into their stride, we'll find it difficult to match them, as we found earlier in the season 1-0, became 5-0 in pretty quick time.
Its essential we keep individual errors to a minimum, especially at the back, but we always seem to make at least a couple per game.
Should we get 3 points tomorrow, i'd fancy our chances of avoiding the drop, lose and we are dependant on other results, and with us being away on the last day, the odds wouldn't be that favourable.
Without knowing what really to expect, i'm going for a 2-1 Garibaldi win, yet again with everything crossed.
For a long time I thought 34 points might be enough. Now we are on 34 I don’t feel so sure. Another point today might be enough; Everton and Leeds will be thinking they have to win this weekend.
Safety is within our grasp.
Much depends on the state of mind of the Arsenal team. One or two key players are missing for them. We probably have our strongest team out today. If we maintain the levels of the last 4/5 games we will be ok.
The ref and VAR hopefully don’t have an impact.
Whatever happens today and next Sunday I’ll be looking forward to next season.
Jack Colback leaves us at the end of the season!
He has been fantastic for us over the years, proper leader and so memorable goals.
Expect a warm reception today for him and wish him well wherever he ends up
I am going 2-1 Forest - Yates to net a last minute winner
Just read Jack Colback leaving at the end of the season. Not got a bad word to say about him, hope he continues elsewhere.
He’s a true leader, on and off the field, scored one of the best goals I’ve ever seen last season against the Baggies, (whether he meant it or not), in that brilliant 4-0 hammering.
Hopefully we’ll do a proper ‘thread’ on JA606 for him, he deserves it.
Good luck Jack.
Hope Arsenal at least make a game of it.
Make 115 Charges FC wait 1 more day
The women team are playing Watford while I type this for promotion to the women Championship! on Radio Nottm!
Forest: Navas; Aurier, Worrall, Felipe, Niakhate, Lodi; Yates, Mangala, Danilo; Gibbs-White, Awoniyi. Subs: Hennessey, Toffolo, Surridge, Johnson, Kouyate, Freuler, Dennis, Boly, Ayew.
Johnno on the bench
I hope my optimism doesn’t backfire but I think a win is a good possibility. Arsenal don’t like it here recently. A point is possible and hopefully that could be enough. I’m not thinking about the other possible outcome.
Just feels like it’s going to be a lovely Saturday sunny evening
Everton equalised with 3 seconds left on the clock, Wolves had loads of chances and fluffed the lot, Diego Costa in particular was wasteful. Can’t believe they’ve got a point out of that, unbelievable.
That point could be massive.
Wolves basically did everything they could to help the toffees.
The Wolves players are celebrating with the Everton players, what a disgusting shower.
Beat Arsenal - party time in Nottingham and Manchester
Yes that point for Everton is a blow for us. They’re picking up points regularly now. Makes the game today even more important because I’m sure Leeds are going to win one of their games. They’re so lucky to play West Ham who will rest players for Europe and a terrible Spurs team
I would take a draw today v Forest
5 minutes in and we’ve had the ball in their half most of the time. Makes a nice change
The game is crying out for Johnno
Hahahaha! MGW to Awoniyiiiiiiiii!!!!!
AWONIYI
GEEEEETTTTTT INNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t see us holding out for 90 minutes, this Arsenal is just to incisive and clever in their build up, I’m convinced they’ll score, that’s not to say we can’t score another on the break.
Referee certainly favouring Arsenal, two really soft bookings.
Tbh I’d probably still take a point.
Arsenal are fantastic on the ball, but can be a bit like Barcelona and always want to score the ‘perfect’ goal.
Big last 20 minutes. Good to see we are starting to get chances again
Arsenal haven’t been direct enough. The occasion and atmosphere has been too big for them. I mean, Navas is around 10 minutes away from keeping a rare clean sheet!
