Slot is more of a risk than other candidates, he doesn't know the PL and has only ever managed in a Mickey Mouse league. Sure he has just won the title with Feyenoord but was that due to Ajax and PSV being in transition.
Levy also likes managers with some kind of previous PL experience, the last manager he hired with no PL experience was Juande Ramos, and the two before that with no PL experience were Santini & Gross, so you can see why Slot is giving me bad vibes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a massive risk - but by the same logic Nagelsmann would have been also.
De Zerbi had no Prem experience, Pep Didn’t, Klopp didn’t, Wenger, Frank, etc

Yeh but most of those had managed previously in a decent League, not something akin to the SPL

He has won the league with hollands third club, farmers league final, Europa quarters, had AZ top before Covid - he comes with a better record than Jol did and arguably better than Ten Hag considering he had Hollands pre ire club

I bet he does. The sort of manager who will be happy to work with what he's got and won't demand too much. Right up Levy's street.

Yeah and you can also guarantee if Frank came in Hjojberg would become his main man. Even being made captain wouldn’t surprise me.

He might get more out of him. PEH isn't bad. He's never going to be world class but he's a solid good option and we'd be seeing better from him I think next to Bentancur.
Frank is not a bad managerial option either but wouldn't have been one of my main choices.

Watch the football style though, its reasonably entertaining but fundamentally its high energy, counter attack and balls into the box. Not to belittle anything he has doe because he has them performing.
I feel that we need to be a bit more progressive in our managerial choice and if we truly have ambitions of winning stuff them our style needs to be far more possession based.
