Have to admire Luton for how well they have done but I would hope our ambitions were higher than just lumping it into the box and hoping that one of the big lads can bundle it in. I much prefer Sunderland’s style but as we saw last night and as we saw with ourselves last season you can get bullied by physically stronger opponents.
Man City have generally beefed up in the last couple of years and now they are nobody’s soft touch. Even at the very top level set pieces are important and you can’t afford to give away soft goals or pass up on the chance of scoring them. Hopefully if Warne recruits a few lads of six feet ten who can run around like Duracell bunnies all day it will be an adjunct to decent football rather than the be and end all of it.
As far as Spart would be concerned, Adebayo would be the next 'Collins' 🤔

6’10”?
Might be hiring them from the NBA…
I just hope we can recruit players who can pass a ball to someone in the same colour shirt and control a pass when they recive one. If we have to have a one touch centre forward then we need someone with more pace than Collins.
I don't think Luton were just a hoof-it team; there was some good football too and I trust PW to get the balance right for what is needed in League1. Sunderland were a good passing side and were apparently hit by injuries so hard luck to them but on the evidence of the second leg Luton deserved to go through.

They also finished 11 points ahead of Sunderland, so it's safe to assume they've been the better team over a full season too.
A winning style would be nice

They played some quality stuff, especially in the first half of the first leg.
I think they upped the physicality and athleticism last night & it certainly did the job.
Nice to have the ability to do both.
However, theyre going to need a major investment if theyre not going to be another Norwich 🤔
Come on Coventry, only eight minutes Gibson Time to dump the Smoggies out of the PO's.
............... Smoggies out, oh dear, how sad, never mind.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer team 🤣🤣🤣
Will the writs start flying again?
