Eintracht Frankfurt's Markus Krösche is in pole position to become #thfc's next sporting director. | @marcoconterio
ITK on SC saying Slot and Amorim are two of the final four candidates. Guessing Post is the third one?
Like Nagelsmann he has had zero Premier league experience, so he could completely Flop for all we know.
We need a manager with proven PL experience.
At least Slot plays attacking football

With Rodgers or Potter the 4th?
Yeah the more I read about Slot he seems to like his teams to be all kamikaze in attack. I can get behind that. He is bound to know a creative MF or two that could come in and transfer our middle.
Im sure he’ll slot right in straight away

I think his captain is an ex striker that he turned into an attacking midfielder. Maybe he could bring him
If that kamikaze football sees us plummet down the league you just know the tabloids are gonna be all over "SLOT DROP" like a rash!!!
I know we're not exactly experts but I'm confused as to what qualifies someone as a credible sporting director. Roma's transfer policy has been woeful by all accounts so Pinto would be an underwhelming appointment to say the least. I get the distinct impression, as was the case with Paratici, that Levy likes to appoint a DoF on the strength of their little black book and not whether their footballing philosophy aligns with our own. That's just plain wrong. It also concerns me that the candidates for the job seem wildly different in approach. Tim Steidten appears to favour a more attacking profile of player and Pinto the opposite. It's the same muddled thinking again from Levy.
It all hinges on this appointment. Get this one wrong and we could be back in Gattuso / Fonseca territory. Any favour we may have towards the idea of Slot might be completely moot when the new DoF comes in. If it's Pinto I give up, I really do.

Yeah but if you start winning every week you’ll become a SLOT MACHINE
When we play West Ham the headline will be "Slot, Hammer time"

Does he have a plan B though? And how does cope against team who play with a low block.
Didn't do to well against King Jose recently...

Spoke to a celtic supporting dad at the kids school this morning and asked him about Postecoglu
Apparently lost his first 2-3 and then went on a ridiculous winning streak.
His football is pure attack attack attack and the guy doesn't expect him to be at celtic next season because there will be clubs all over sniffing around him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think some Celtic fans are scared he will take over Man City if Pep leaves and because he is ex City Group.

A few of my relatives are season ticket holders at Celtic.
They love his style of play and it works well for the domestic stuff but they feel he needs to accept that when up against better opposition (cl/Europa) there has to be a plan b.

I just wonder how the candidates in question deal with low block teams and if any of them have a plan B.
Are they happy to lose 2 or 3 nil and stick with their principles or have they shown they are able to change things midway through a game, if plan A is not working?
It's all very being progressive and playing on the the front foot but we are Tottenham and historically we always have had a soft centre and chit defence hence why we are average.
Starting to look like it will be Slot & Im fine with it... Guy plays attacking football and appears to make a positive difference in a short space of time at his past 2 clubs. Whether he's a big enough name to convince Kane to stay beyond next season... who knows.
As much as I don't want Kane to go... We MUST commit long term to a project manager like Slot. If kane wont sign a new deal shortly after slot signs (if he's the guy) then we must use the money to allow him to restructure the squad beyond the next 12 months

Danger with that is you can probably get away with it in the Dutch league but in the PL everyone from about 12th upwards has the quality to beat you on their day.
I dont know much about Slot but it would concern me a bit if he's known for all out attack. ETH has managed to keep United's defence pretty tight which must be the starting point IMO.
