It's a big jump for Newcastle, domestic footy PLUS CL games...you need a big big squad for that, Newcastle wont have that for next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They'll probably only have six games in the CL to be fair, but could end up in the EL.

The two countries who perform best in Europe get an extra place from next season.

So Ireland and Sweden? Based on Eurovision wins

City
Chelsea
Liverpool
United
Arsenal
Spurs
Newcastle

In that order . Although 3rd to 7th really is anyone’s. If Son gets back to form Spurs on one game a way could easily get top 4

Same with us, we’ll challenge for the title mainly because 1 game a week

Newcastle / Arsenal will struggle to balance as their first season in a while

City Utd Arsenal Liverpool will be top 4 but not sure which order. Depends on transfers.

Newcastle will struggle more with extra games. Chelsea will be much improved.

Touché, you think a team like ours is not going to considerably challenge for the title playing 1 game a week?

Naive to think otherwise. Look at the last time we finished 10th, we won it the next season

Can’t see us stopping or even getting too close to City but we’ll finish best of the rest

Newcastle will fall away next season.

Man City
Liverpool
Man Utd
Arsenal

Relegated
Sheffield United
Spurs
Luton

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit ridiculous this. I think Luton have more than enough to finish above spurs

Arsenal’s young squad was found wanting at the end of this season big time. Them players playing at an even higher level in the CL and less players being rested will leave them struggling in the league

Likewise Newcastle.

Chelsea/Spurs basically have a free run with one game a week and a perfect utilisation for a new manager to ge their ideas across with more training than games and more time.

Spurs are not really good enough to get enough points for top 2 but will challenge for 3-6. Chelsea will likely finish best of the rest but again not at City’s level

A lot of assumptions about teams improving next season, but I think there is still a gap to City and hard to see past them. In many ways for us, next season is even tougher, the expectation goes up and we feel like an on-going project for a few years. Liverpool look top-heavy and need to improve defensively and get their midfield to gel. I think Arsenal will find it tough to maintain what they have done this season. You would expect Chelsea to improve, but by how much? And Newcastle will find next season tougher being in CL and coping with added expectation.

I think you'll finish 5th or 6th if lucky. Everyone writing Arsenal off but I think we'll challenge again. I can see Liverpool being up there as well.

Don't get why people rate Spurs for next season. They're a bag of sheite and don't even have a manager. Kane might leave. Don't rate them at all.

Levy alone will ensure Spurs finish nowhere near top 4. How they do in Europe will decide how Newcastle and Arsenal fare. Hard to see Brighton keeping up the success of this season and playing Thursdays but I hope they do.

Yes you are right, I realised later and hoped nobody would notice. When I wrote the first it was a reflection on the news Poch was Chelsea bound. Then when I did the top 4 and thought about it I came up with the same top 4 as this year. Hence the difference, my bad as they say.

All the more reason we should be all in for Kane.

I’d imagine the transfer market will be tough all round this season. Newcastle now in the CL, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs not. Arsenal may well want to spend some money this window, or they’ll be left behind.

I expect Newcastle will be in for a lot of the players Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are tbh.

City
Liverpool
Chelsea
United

City to win the league again pushed very close by Liverpool followed by Chelsea and United.
City are City, they will still be the team to beat.
Liverpool will be a lot better but not quite back to their best and won’t put a lot of importance on the EL (although they will still win imo)
Chelsea have a competent manger at last and quality players, it will take them a little while to settle but with no European football they will make top 4.
United are the least certain my pics and the ones who could miss out, a lot will depend on transfers in terms of quality but all squad depth, outgoings as well as in comings very important.

Arsenal and Newcastle I see missing out. Arsenal i still think over achieved this year and it will prove to be the exception instead of the rule, imo they will also struggle to juggle European football and just miss out.

Newcastle, while they will spend money, are still restricted by FFP and despite CL they still won’t be able to attract the quality of players the other clubs can. While Howe has done a great job and got them playing as a team, man for man they are a long way behind the rest quality wise and that will prove harder to overcome with European football added.

Spurs I feel could struggle but a lot will depend on who they appoint and, if they sell Kane, how they recruit.
