Mr Inbetween is fantastic. Really darkly funny too. I love the very last shot in the finale.

Like the film it’s based on too.

Succession.

As good as everyone says it is.

They also completely nailed the ending - which isn’t always the case, even with great shows.

I don't 1 star all your articles but I feel I should do after you recommended Ted Lasso.

Halfway through Succession S4 so can't comment.

Guilty S3 was the best series I've seen recently, best to watch it from S1 though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Totally agree on Guilty. We were late to the party in finding it, then binged all 3 seasons over the last few weeks. Very good, and aye you need to watch it from the start. Pity they had to use different actors for not one but two separate characters across the 3 seasons though, which wasn’t ideal for continuity! 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I mean't Guilt on BBC btw.

I can only think of 1 cast change which I didn't notice until I read a bout it. Probably because I watched each series as it came out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye, meant to type Guilt as well.

On the actor changes, gangster boss Roy Lynch was played by the guy who does the Repair Shop voiceovers in Season 1, then a totally different Scottish actor after that … who was much taller. 😂 Black police woman was played by 2 different actors in Season 2 and 3.

Incredible ending, it was perfection. It’s probably the best finale of any show I’ve ever seen.

Not sure I’d go that far. Had its moments but fizzled out rather than a bang. Great series though

Name a better series finale, there have been better shows on TV but none with a finale as satisfying as that

posted on 31/5/23

It's not a finale that will be talked about in years to come. I think with one subtle change it could have been though.

There were a lot of allusions to death with the water imagery, the waiter dying being the prime example. In the finale, Kendall was in the water and the other siblings talked about murdering him. Then when Shiv changed her mind, Kendall said if he didn't get the vote he might just die.

In the finale scene, rather than just sitting looking out at the water, if Kendall had started to walk towards the water, maybe while taking off his jacket, shoes etc, the discussion would have continued for a long time as to whether he was going to commit suicide.

It was a great final episode but the ending was a bit meh. Felt more like an end of season ending where you know another season is coming. It was definitely no Sopranos ending.

Black Mirror S6 starts in June.

Let the good times roll.

On the op, the first season of Ted Lasso was great. The second season was ok in parts. The third season has been pants.

It set itself up brilliantly and then just turned into, and I didn’t think was possible, an even worse version of love actually. Such a shame as there were a few potentially great characters.

Will need to give the film a watch then, assumed it wouldn't be great just given how low the budget would've been for it.

The back story behind the writer and main character Scott Ryan is pretty fascinating in itself

Started it last night and up to s2 ep3 already. It's class.
