Given we’re lost 3 midfielders, expecting another 2.

Nope. Mac Allister is a big chuck of our budget and are looking at cheaper alternatives like Kone, Thuram and Gravenberch. Not a bad thing cos 80m for Caicedo is alot

Good point. Aside from being completely different as players, you’re spot on.

The rumours are Thuram, Kone and Mac Allister, sounds a lot more realistic than Bellingham and Ugarte.

Hope we get that energy back into midfield, if we can we will get a top four spot I’m sure.

The irony being that his name "Mac Allister", two words, sounds Scottish, while Hojbjerg, one word, sounds more exotic.

Be interesting to see how he might transform Liverpool's CM position? he is a player I like, never thought of him as a complete game changer but then again I've maybe only seen him in approx 10-12 full matches so I could be missing everything he brings.

I liked his energy which kinda has been missing this season for Liverpool and he seems entirely comfortable in possession, he would certainly be a signing a fair few clubs would make if possible, price dependant it could be a banging transfer

This, good technique, comfortable on the ball, energy, and goals from midfield.

Everything we’re lacking in midfield in one player.

McAllister is creative, Hojbjerg is a plodder.

Ja606 is nothing if not predictable. Mc Alluster was world class at Brighton but will be s*** when he joins a rival club.

Have a feeling we're not going to replace Fabinho for at least a year, so I'm predicting Mac Allister and at least one other CM with Fabinho and Hendo slotting in at 6. Would tend to agree that Caicedo for £80+ or whatever is prob not great value

Manu Kone doing the rounds as a Liverpool target.

Admittedly don't know much about him other than he was a United target a few weeks ago if the press are to be believed.

Apart from the fact that he would most likely hit the ground running with Mac Allister having played with him all season. That sort of gelling takes time and we need to hit the ground running this coming season.

If we have it, and are interested we should do it.

10 goals to 4 goals, played less 250 minutes less too.

We need goals from midfield.
