Anyone seen the new home shirt?

Iv seen an image. Looked nice, with a black neck and stripes down the sleeve, but still has the current sponsor, so may be a fake.

I saw a fake one that looked like a Newcastle top

The leaked photos are real. I guess until we sort out the new owners we aren't going to negotiate a new sponsor.

Mainly to do with teams being highly up for it when United come to town and we have very few players who can cope when put under pressure on the ball.

At OT I feel teams are more stand offish which suits us.

Not sure about anyone else on here but I'm at an age now where I couldn't really care less what our kit looks like.

Ah yeah that's the away kit I was referring to. Doesn't look great to me.

Yeah it's a bit odd but all for trying something different for one of the away kits. I'm guessing Adidas have some nonsense spiel about what it all represents.

I quite like that the white kit uses the devil for the crest. I'm sure loads of fans will moan it's not tradition but it's taking an element that already exists and we used it for our shorts in '86. Guess it's similar to how Arsenal use just the cannon on some away shirts.

Home one looks nice. Other 2 are horrible.

I don't see why the ownership should hold up a new sponsor being lined up. The club has people to run it and make those decisions (sponsors and transfers) independent of the ownership.

Why?

Million reasons.

1) perhaps different set of players

2) physical dimensions of pitches

3) opposite team tactics

Going back to OP I think our squad has always been quite weak mentally and maybe going to away grounds they crumble under the pressure of home fans. This is also why we've seen some awful capitulations such as at City, Brentford, Liverpool, Seville and Villa.

It's why I think we had such a good record during lockdown. No crowds away from home benefitted us.

home shirt looks ok, decent but nothing special,. never been a fan of the v neck shirts, always prefer a collar.

Strangley the home shorts look amazing (i know they are just shorts)

that third kit thing is fecking hideous however.

RDD

Maybe new owners would like to have their own sponsors like Ratcliffe has at Nice and how the Newcastle owners supposedly want to have their own, not that hard to understand.

The black and white one is an odd looking kit.

The other two are pretty run of the mill but nice enough nonetheless

I think it's pretty standard for one of the away kits to be a bit random and the hope that it'll become some loved/cult design that can be replicated in the future. Problem is if it goes wrong then the kit is ridiculed forever like our grey kit from the 90s.

Arsenal's new away kit is pretty wild.

Isn't that what City are being investigated for, amongst things?

Personally, I cant see the Glazers or Adidas being happy to miss out on sponsorship / shirt sales.

at least its a bit different ..... not a fan however its all very 90's

How are Adidas missing out on shirt sales?

The kit will be released with whoever is the current sponsor which is TeamViewer and fans aren't gonna not buy it because they think the sponsor might change.

Nice literally have INEOS (the owners) as their sponsor.

posted on 31/5/23

Next season sponsor won't change. Teamviewer is expected to reamin until 24/25

posted on 31/5/23

Yeah isn't that they would like to leave and are happy for United to get a new sponsor to take over whenever they can but will continue to honour their contract with the club? But seeing as we potentially have a new owner coming in it make sense to wait unti they've come in and decided what to do.

Would you buy a shirt for £60 to then have the shirt change weeks / months later?

Are Nice concerned with FFP rules? Do they play in European competition?

United ended the agreement early, but agreed to have them on the shirts for the remainder of the season.

New sponsor to be announced this season.

Red kit looks OK but not keen on the away or third, going off those photos. The white one looks like a Liverpool kit.
