Australia is wider than the moon. (Only found this out when having a debate at work with a colleague who loves a bit of flat earth theory!)

Are premier league penalty boxes superior to anyone else's?

Danny Baker created/invented the original 606.

Talking of Danny Baker, it was on his podcast with Gary Lineker that I found out about the Dali/Chupa Chups fact.

Three types of animals don’t have blood or any sort of analogue: flatworms, nematodes and the family of animals including jellyfish and corals.

Some others, like spiders, have something similar to blood called haemolymph, which is still pumped around by a heart, but fills the animal’s body cavity rather than flowing around a circulatory system.

The key difference between haemolymph and blood is that haemolymph doesn’t carry anything like haemoglobin, meaning that it isn’t responsible for working with a respiratory system to transport oxygen around the body. Instead, spiders breathe (or perform gas exchange) through the skin around their bodies.

And when you flush a spider down the toilet () it can survive despite the fact that spiders are unable to breathe in water. Why? Because spiders are able to use residual oxygen in tiny pockets of air which have been trapped between their hairs when dunked in water, kind of like a scuba diver using an oxygen tank, absorbing the O2 before expelling CO2 the same way. Pretty cool.

(But pls do not flush spiders down the toilet, thx.)

Had to look that up as it seemed so ridiculous, NBA court is narrower but it's a lot longer and is a lot larger by area

I was referring to the 18 yard box. It’s smaller. Almost. As wide but not as long.

Yeah sorry I'm really confused now, not sure what measurements I found earlier but found these just now (along with your link)
Football, penalty box 40.2m by 16.5m
NBA court 28.7m by 15.2 m

Much smaller!

Here’s one I just learnt.

The KFC official Twitter page just follows 11 people. 6 of them are random men whose names all start with Herb and the remaining 5 are each of the individual Spice Girls.

So just herbs and spices. Genius.
