Now That The Bucket Hats Have Settled

I predicted Gundogan being the danger yesterday, because how he drops into those pocket of holes that Utd time and again leave.

Not only did Gundogan find those spaces, but he finished really well.

Good little player.

Keeping him and Bernardo for the next couple of seasons has got to be a priority.

Those three for me as well for the game Boris.

I would be more focused on keeping Pep though. People were worried what will happen when the likes of Kompany, David Silva and Aguero left but agree that it would be good to keep them for next years challenge and give more game time to the likes of Palmer, Alvarez, Rico... We would need to bring someone in if they leave...we'll be short in midfield area

Pep will want 4-in-a-row, he's fond of a record.

We could have been the first club to win the FA Cup in it's present form without conceding a goal if it wasn't for a bent decision.

Don’t knock bent decisions. They can be the difference between winning and losing the league…..

That was a right decision...serial diver punished.

Hopefully, he will get sent off in the CL finals, so from the next season he will learn how to stand on his feet 😂

Stick to wumming Spurs muffles.

I think Inter Milan will be similar to Man Utd but I expect Haaland and Grealish to have more of an impact so I reckon 2 nil or 3-1 to City and treble winning open bus parade celebrations next Sunday.

United did a good job on our key attackers, but they opened the game up for the likes of Stones and Gundogan, who I think are harder to pick up anyway. Not much space on the left for Grealish so would have had Foden on sooner myself, who operates much better in tight spaces.

We were starting to take the driving seat when they got the penalty, was a bit of a suckerpunch and gave them a footing in the game. Aside from the scramble in the last minutes though I don’t think they threatened too much. They are a few key players away from a title winning 11 and then a few squad players off competing for both the leage and cl as their fans expect

Yes grated as their manager sais post match, they had a good game. I think it was a top performance by them and our goals were spectacular.

For us I felt the players had an eye of the CL final and we didn't have that intensity. Was no where near our best in my opinion.

Kyle Walker had a good game..

We most definately had our eye on next Saturday - Nobody wanted to get injured which is why I think we weren't as gung-ho after the equaliser.

This was all United had to play for and their fans should be highly critical, which in fairness, a few are on here.

Of course, as much as Pep says we were focused on Wembley, nobody will have wanted to pick up an injury yesterday. We were a bit bitty and scrappy with the ball at times, but I thought they pressed well. On another day though Haaland or Kev bag one of those one on ones and it’s game over. Progress for United at last, but I don’t think one summer is enough to put them back in contention for both of the major honours next season.

For us, same team next weekend I imagine, bar the keepers.

As a side note, how dislikable is Casemiro? I thought he was a 5hit bag in the Real games last year, so happy he’s ended up with them!

Come on, give him a break!

Maf's branching out!
Now he is going for clubs that win trophies!

One thing I did pick up from the game was the volume of our whistling for what little time they had possession. I guess that’s the reason for the bucket hats - keeps the noise out.
Beautiful goal. Beautiful result. Next week.

There's a lot on Twitter about fans throwing objects at Penandes after he scored.

What do you expect when you're known as 'The Rat' and regarded as one of the most despicable players in the Prem and go and celebrate in front of opposing fans?

Not that I condone throwing light objects at massive caaants etc, etc.

posted on 4/6/23

He definitely went to goad the city end when he scored. Even that little moany rat should be able to celebrate wherever he wants without being hit by anything though.

It wasn't exactly like Bellamy at OT a few years back.

City didn't even get out of first gear. One of the more one sided finals despite the score.

On the sidenote grated, he is one of few players that urk me similar to Veratti...

Onc thing I like about out recruiting in recent years is we have learnt from our mistakes and seem to employ good and decent characters with good work ethic. Players that will not be disruptive... Teams like PSG, Chelsea,... on the other hand don't and I suppose United are desperate at this stage of rebuilding... I remember Fernandes agent was linking him with City for a few years and he eventually ended up at United...there is reason we didn't go for him...what happens when the going gets tough? The tough did not get going as many United fans found out...

I watched the highlights on the City OS before.

How the hell were Fred and Casemiro still on the pitch after the hour mark?

posted on 4/6/23

Fred arguably wouldn’t have made so many had he been booked earlier, was four fouls I think before he was finally carded. Casemiro easily could have had two bookings. Anyway..
