As for Ange, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t desperately disappointed. He still had something to prove in Europe but his signings, style of play, footballing philosophy, general good guyness and low tolerance of BS really made us all take him to heart.
I know there will be some, better, Celtic fans than I who will brand him a rat and what have you, but I can’t find it in my heart to hate him for leaving for a better financial future and a better personal challenge.
His timing may have been a bit off. But then what timing would have lessened this blow? I’m just disappointed he said - in February - we’d be surprised at how long he’d stay. We sure are.
But onwards and upwards.
