I think most people on here now want to say a fond farewell to De Gea.
Eriksen was surely only bought as a squad option and shouldn't have started as much as he did IMO.
Martial is just so frustrating. I think he has the tools to be a very good player but don't think his heart is fully in it.
OP, you say 'even' like 3 first team signings wouldn't be a really good window.
Eriksen and DeGea great players in their day, but nothing lasts forever. Did Martial ever have a day? I’m not sure.

Exactly.
Eriksen is a useful option but the reality is he was on the slide even before leaving Spurs. He still has obvious qualities but he’s not good enough to be starting week in week out at a big team.
Martial has had spells of being a very good player but it’s never really lasted. I’d personally just run his contract down now because no one is taking him unless we subsidise a large portion of his wages next season.

He’s had the odd good season or good spells in seasons but he’s never really done it for a prolonged spell.
I would add Antony to that list.

De Gea is the biggest issue in my eyes. Not what we need but very hard to replace and a huge amount of past hero factor that could lead us to make the wrong decision on his staying or going.
De Gea new contract makes no sense.
So much money he’s on and he’s let the team down too often. Surely could be replaced by a steady keeper on less than 1/3 his salary

I actually thought Eriksen was pretty good in CM with Bruno and Casemiro BEFORE casemiros ban and his injury.
I feel like he was rushed back due to Sabitzer injury and he didn’t look right at the end of the season.
I’ll reserve judgement till I see him next year, he was a free after all
Eriksen should be starting about 20 games, not 40+
If he can provide 20 or so starts where he can play the full 90, it’s a no brainier to keep him
I'm not sure Eriksen is able to play the full 90 minutes of a game now.
Obviously if we manage his minutes better he'd be more likely to last a full game but even during the first half of the season he looked spent after about an hour.
I don't think he should be playing against the top sides, certainly the best sides out of possession.

Yep. Of the three, he's the one that I think would still be useful in certain circumstances, where we're facing a team who are sitting in. Even his set piece delivery alone can be useful in said circumstances.
The other two? Well, I don't think they should be at the club but that has been the case for some time and yet here we are, with De Gea about to sign a new deal
