They were both trebles, therefore equal achievements.

OP is still high on copium. The article makes no sense.

We will ignore united scraping through the CL group stages that year then and getting 79 odd points to win the title 😂

It's like a wound that never heals for united fans this.
Just as it starts to heal and scab someone knocks it and they start crying again LOL

United drew 40% of their games in 98/99, City won close to 75% of theirs.
United were a glorified Wimbledon, whilst City are the best squad ever.

I think United's treble happened during a time when football was at a more even level financial wise. It seemed like a time when the top teams in Europe could beat anyone

Nowadays yes you still need some of the attributes to win of yesteryear, but these days it seems like you can just hoover up the talent of Europe with your owners funds to get you over the line

The league was easier then imo. Teams like Wimbledon, Oldham and Coventry didn't have players as good as the ones that get relegated nowadays.

But that's not true, I think Barcelona 2011 Vs City 2023 would be spectacular, immense, pretty close, but Barca 2011 with Pep would edge City 2023

There are 115 other reasons why our Treble is better

Wait, you let Spurs win a facking trophy that year?!

Significantly worse than losing to a relegated side that!

United fans should be embarrassed at the absolute boolsheet some of them are coming out with.

How were City doing in 1999 ?
Which, by the way, is genuine, because I haven't looked it up.

Diafol

I think you are going to have to get a bigger boat. Maybe you should have put ‘Spurs’ in neon flashing lights.

If anyone should be embarrassed it's the rest of ja606.

To paraphrase Frank Grimes from the Simpsons, does this whole site and the media have some sort of disease where they can't see the 115 charges of FFP breaches that have allowed City the amount of success they've had?

I always thought United’s was better and it’s good to see it confirmed beyond doubt.

Thanks OP, great work as always.

I swear to God, my legacy will be turning this entire board against City and their doping.

Why are so many of our fans happy they doped their way to a treble!!! It’s a disgrace!!!!!

Well after the 115 ridiculous refereeing decisions given in Fergie's favour I'm no more fussed about this than your treble.

But if you're a United fan then yes I can't understand why you'd be congratulating City and even worse for some wanting them to win the title over Arsenal.

The w@nkfest for Pep and City by our so called fan base has pushed me over the edge. I’m leaving immediately. Seriously, it’s time to abandon ship when your own fans are happy that your enemy have won the treble. Oh and by doping too.

Not saying you’re one of them Diafol, you’re a great lad Tbf, but there’s too much support for City and I can’t take it.

Cya 606. Admin sorry for all the headaches, I am a difficult guy but I’m not a bad guy.

All the best to everyone
