The French league is a joke, much the same as the Dutch league.

Wonder if PSG regret rejecting that 200 million bid a few years back now from real?

posted on 13/6/23

Most likely means Mbappe to Madrid and Kane to stay at Spurs.

Well City winning the title every year has certainly made the PL a bit of a joke too to be fair.
They're like the PSG of english football

Real Madrid have told Kane if he signs for them they'll employ the finest language tutors money can buy. Then in a couple of years time when he is getting the grasp of English they'll hire some Spanish language tutors.

I keep seeing these jokes about Kane and the english language. Is this a thing? I haven't heard him speak in quite a while so I don't know ...

Yes, he's got a speech impediment. Comes across as a right mug.

Let's just get both

Just wondering with that so-called communication between the Qatar Sheikh bidding for United and the PSG owners over the weekend - could there be a connection?

Understanding the Arab culture, I would expect that if the Sheikh buys United, he'll want to make a very quick grand gesture to show his financial power. I really hope not. This would be exactly the type of Galactico signing that has ruined United over the past decade.

Signing Mbappe in his current form/age/ability would be a grand gesture obviously, but would be completely the other end of the scale in terms of being a ‘typical’ galactico signing we’ve grown accustomed to, he’s one of the best players on the planet and plays in a position we actually need.

Neymar would fit your description though.

We haven’t signed a ‘galactico’ nearly as good as Mbappe, so not sure how this is true.

I did wonder this myself.

Kind of torn on Mbappe. He is a fantastic talent, no doubt about that. But what kind of wage would he demand? And after the way he has been put on a pedestal at PSG, how would he carry on at United? He doesn't feel like an ETH player to me and might upset the dynamics of the squad that he is building. I think I'd prefer Kane or Osimhen.

Cant see it. If Mbappe is on the move this summer than Real will surely be after him.

It’s not actually gonna happen. But we’ve obviously not signed anyone as good as him, so it was a weird comment.

Why would Mbappe join United

Even Kane would be foolish to join them as they're not gonna win any major trophies in the near future.

posted on 13/6/23

They are saying he will cost in excess of 160m.

With a year left, Real surely will be tempted to play hardball. That could go down by 40-50m by deadline day when they realise its that or nothing.

People ask this every time we sign a big player.

Although I am sure that he will end up at Real.

We should have a pretty clear run at Kane if so. Just depends on whether Levy is prepared to deal with us.

It actually can be. But only in pretty extreme cases. Which isn't Kane.

Robb, it's optimistic to think that if Kane is available on a free, we won't have serious competition for him.
