I just think they're not very good and by choosing the best teams they compensate for lack of ability.

it's all true except the FIFA bit. That doesn't seem relevant, just describes someone who wants to win at FIFA or isn't good enough to use lesser teams.

Not sure someone from outside the area quite supports the club in the same way though. They don't live and breathe it, get titbits from the local rag, banter with the newsagent, share a production line with your s(ummy rivals...

glory hunter- a person who mysteriously starts supporting a club after a bit of success i.e man united fan since 1999 man city fan since 2011, which has no affliation with the club for example no family member supporting them or no where near the ground
