People will rightly point to the great mid to late 60's team but forget the likes of McQueen and Jordan who also excelled under the Don, with them we went on to win the second title.

Great memories of Gordon McQueen

Though he nearly gave me a heart attack in 1975 getting sent off against Barcelona in the European semi final, Leeds had to play many minutes with only 10 men.

RIP Gordon

Beggars belief, Els. We may not put McQueen on the same pedestal as Bremner, Hunter et al but he gave us great service.

Twice Leeds player of the Season, regardless of where he ended up. Not many can say that.

Whoever gave this a 1 star rating why not have the balls to explain why. You're just a keyboard coward!

I've already given my condolences on another thread to the big man and I couldn't give a monkey's he played for Man U... he was a wonderful servant to our great club and rightly deserves respect... if others can't do that then that's their immaturity and I doubt they will ever grow up but that's life and the world is full of arrseholes spoiling it for everyone else.

I loved McQueen and Jordan, they played for us and served us well!..

And yep, I to sand that song when they moved to the wrong club!..

But I still remember him for his days with us, and I think these days what a stupid song, mind there are a couple off songs I now think were stupid!..

RIP Gordon, you'll always be remembered by most for the good you brought to our club!.

RIP Gordon McQueen. Condolences to your family and friends.

A real stalwart of the Leeds team that won the 1974 title and I’ll always remember him fondly for that.

As a balance however, I was bitterly disappointed in his comment when he joined them lot and it showed a lot of disrespect to Leeds United in my opinion.

Was really sorry to hear about this earlier and it sounds like the last few years of his life were pretty tough.

Played for Leeds when we were still at our peak, so great player in my book and can only wish his friends and family love at this time.

A gentleman, a character and a leader. Possibly our best centre half after Big Jack?
