Inconceivable that the club shelled out on such a mediocre player, advocated by individuals missing their frontal lobe.

Chelsea are middle tier, so maybe that's not even his level.

He looked a talent at Atletico but was worth a fraction of what they paid for him

I think he's a real talent to be honest. Give him a good manager and he would flourish.

It’s not the manager’s fault he’s not very good at football.

He's got a lovely name .......for a cat !

Neat and tidy player but his output is very average

To be fair, Lampard could manage the Brazil 1970 team and make Pele look like Akinbiyi.

again it dont think you can judge a no10 playing the season with no natural striker in front of him.

I dont think you can judge many players at Chelsea on the back of last season.

yeah it must have been his crap form for them in the past that has secured his portugal spot and got him 30 caps by the age of 23.

And has a whopping five goals and three assists.

I might even use a word like warned instead of notified and you will have a meltdown again !!

anyway back to the point.

the protugal manager isnt exactly forced to pick him and play him every single game he can ... I wonder why he does?

he gets picked ahead of Leao. they tend to line up Fernandes, silva and felix behind the striker leaving Leao on the bench. That must give you some sorta idea that he is above mid level.

30 caps and being in every single portugal squad in the last 2 years might say otherwise

I like the bit where Felix isn't a 9 but also a 10, he 'plays between the lines' of 9 and 10.

I thought that the point of a 10 was to play between the lines of midfield and strike. Maybe tactics are just more refined now, but whatever line Felix was meant to play between, he did it badly.
