We have no option but to accept it. As always results and trophies will be the dominant factor in his ultimate success or otherwise. I’d hope that 2nd time around both sides are verbally and contractually protected from wtf went wrong last time?
A weird aspect is that BR is almost certainly still being paid by Leicester and he almost certainly could pick up a better paid job in England between now and Xmas but he is choosing to come back. An unexpected move if he is ever to deploy his supposed Spanish fluency?
I’ve spoken here about his big estate he bought here. Word is his missus loved it up here? He has a huge property portfolio but last I read and calculated very basic houses spread round England average just over £120k - not the £3.5m he paid up here. It was the reason I thought he’d be back. You don’t rent that out.
I’d also hope that 2nd time around he has a new football philosophy. The game changes all the time. No secret he (thinks he) is a cerebral player in management. No shame to change your spots.
More important imho is the hiring process. Last time he brought from his home market like Ange only we paid more cos it was England. I’d like to think we didn’t go down that road again though no doubt we will. Everyone has to trust each other more.
As mentioned above st…fu a bit and get on with the job. I had a few fleeting interactions with him last time. He worked damned hard, was always polite and the staff absolutely loved him. Same staff knew what they were getting with Lennon returning and they were openly dreading it. For all the rat & snake stuff he was welcomed back at Lennoxtown to pick up his stuff a few weeks after he left.
Think about Kennedy - a chance to make a quantum step in salary and prestige with a style he loves, a manager he seemed to love but he’s willing to stay for ‘the rat’. Lack of ambition or…?
As ever time will tell. I was not apoplectic he left, I’m. Not apoplectic he’s back. Others might be and you know who you are.it will certainly be interesting.

Well put mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed.
Didn’t want him back, but hey ho. There are many worse managers than BR out there. After the manner of his previous departure though, it won’t take much for him to come under real pressure if he has an iffy start. Also, as has been said, the bar for league success has been upped considerably since his previous tenure … the number of league games he dropped points in last time around will have us a distant second these days.

Think we sometimes forget that our rivals are undergoing an exhausting and extensive overhaul at the same time. Probably in real terms a much bigger one and further compounded by early qualification games.
Who’s to say they will hit the ground running of the new recruits being such a success?

Fair comment, but just think the rest of the league is weaker now, so far less margin to drop points.

There's a percentage of Celtic fans don't want Rodgers back.
But there's definitely 100% of Rangers fans who don't want him back. 🤣

He could be a golden opportunity, the fans will be on his back from the off if Celtic don't start well.
Did well last time with no challengers then got Leicester relegated with a quality squad. Add that to what we all know is his limited shelf life.
I think there's a good chance it all blows up.
