Bit strange. We had a very successful season playing the same formation as City. But instead you want us to play like the rest of the league who haven't been able to get close irrespective of how much money they spend?

Why are you deleting all of DJ comments for
Really not understanding the apparent shock about the Partey situation tbh,
For one thing, Arsenal are not 'looking to sell' him. They are simply open to selling him if a suitable offer comes in for him. Quite a difference.
Secondly, wtf did everyone think was going to happen when you sign a 27 year old player who turns out to be physically unreliable? He's 30 now, with 2 years left on his contract. What do you want the club to do, offer him a 2-3 year extension? Because that's what he'll be looking for.
And what are you talking about, pushing Odegaard into the front 3?! Where's Martinelli going?
Apart from that... great article.
I remember everyone thinking that Frlerguson was crazy to get rid of Stam but then about a year later his was prosecuted for PEDs.
It's like that, but with rape.

Dunno why this wording made me laugh so much.

Arsenal and their fans spent all season defending him on that though so why would they suddenly have a change of heart???
Total neutral, but can’t say I’ve ever been overly impressed by Partey. Other than offering a bit of dig, which Arsenal are admittedly short of, what does he actually offer if you want to move up a level? Bit slow, not a great passer, injury prone, adds nothing to your attacking game. Bit meh for me.
Totally agree about Havertz though. Have absolutely no idea what he’d add to your team. Lanky waste of space with the heart of a mouse … at least in the Prem.
How much would Arsenal accept for Partey
I think he is worth £75:to £80 million
If Balogun also goes than £60 million would be about right
Don't worry OP there's a chance you might keep him if he rejects any transfer move.
I mean if he says no that's the end of that surely?

Partey actually isn't slow, but you obviously don't watch Arsenal much, he has a great pass opening up defences, very press resistance, breaks up play, the only thing you're right with is that he's injury prone.
He likely picked up something after the last international break again as he hasn't look right after that. I still wouldn't want both him and xhaka to leave in the same window.
Partey aside - what makes you think we'll set up next season anything like you've suggested?
The set up/formation will be like last season. Maybe some very slight tweaks to accommodate any differences in our old players and new players abilities.
I would keep Xhaka and sell Partey.
Partey won't play all season due to his injury record. Xhaka is in a great form and can get another season or two out of him tbh. Sell Partey for £60odd millions and use that money wisely.
Xhaka was playing in a similar position to Odegaard. So you need to compare Xhaka's output with his. That's what we need from Havertz or who ever replaces him.
