I’ve just made the same point on the “Iraola to Bournemouth” article. The relegation clause to let Rodrigo go for £3 million is disgraceful.

It really is Maid.

And I'm sure you've read that Orta is looking
to do the same with other LUFC players.

If he takes Bamford all's forgiven.

And Firpo

The guy's making a decent attempt at being held in the same esteem by Leeds fans as Peter Ridsdale.

Hope he does Shaun.

Actually hope Orta signs our starting XI.

Let’s wait and see, before jumping gun on this one.

Lots of fingers being pointed at Orta but should Rod leave, I would have questions about his integrity.

My view on Orta is he was the sacrificial lamb, Radrizzani's last ditch attempt at trying to cement his reputation at the club and he was pushed under the bus. Not half as bad as people make out and if we'd had an owner who wasn't a shyster he would have achieved much more.

Els I might have been tempted to agree with you if Orta hadn't also done a shocking job for Middlesboro under Morgan who I think it is fair to say is one of the best and most supporting club chairman out there.

We will see how Seville do next season but I reckon 99% on this forum are sure that Orta is and always will be a liability to any club he works for.

I meant Gibson the Boro chairman who as a club are still paying for the calamatious decisions Orta made for them there.

Stop reading things on the internet.

It may be true, 95% of things are click bait so they get revenue.

Firpo's release clause will probably be that we have to pay 3 million to whatever club takes him, to get him off our books.
Might be worth it to get rid of one of the worst players at this club in many years.

It should be written into all future Leeds DoF's contracts that it is forbidden to purchase any footballer with Junior in their name... 2003 we sign Roque Junior and suffer relegation and 20 years later our next Junior signing in the shape of Firpo is just as disastrous....Only at Leeds!

Who on earth watched him play and thought we needed that in the Premier league 🙄

Interesting how many people still think DoF's operate in a 1970's type way of either watching people play or sending scouts out to do it. It's all laptops and computer packages nowadays. The coach will tell the DofF the type of player they are after, the owner will set the budget and the DofF will do a search on line. All clubs will know who is out there. A good DofF's skills include being able to sell the club to the player as much as identify the talent to plug the gaps.

Well we all might aswell become directors of football. We all want Gyokeres and Hamer. How hard was that 🤣

I was under the impression that Orta kept presenting Bielsa with potential signings like Rocca and Bielsa quite rightly refused that suggestion and a few others I suspect were of a similar quality to Rocca that Orta thought were good enough for the Premier league.

Rodrigo was a Spain international who'd played Champions League football the two seasons prior.

I'd imagine it's pretty standard for players at that level to demand a similar get-out clause in the event of relegation if they move to a newly promoted side.

Orta's still rubbish, mind.

There's plenty more he can have.

Bamford
James
Meslier
Struijk

That'll do for starters 👍

Firpo any worse than Aaronson or James or Struijk or Meslier or that fat idiot McKennie. Lets face it we've signed some right old rubbish in the last couple of years. My god.

I read yesterday in one of the Spanish sports rags that Sevilla have a whole load of returning loanees meaning Orta will have to shift at least 10 or 12 players this summer.

Maybe there's a bigger chance of conning him out of some actually decent players than getting him to take your deadwood. Who knows though, maybe you can pull both tricks off.

I think all those four will be ok in this league. Maybe keep them and rid if and when we go up.

For me Aaronson is too lightweight for the U.K. He can go.

I think we will also lose Harrison, Firpo, Rodrigo, possibly Summerville and one or two others who want top class football. So we have to be careful who we let go I think.

He can have Aaronson, Firpo and Bamford.
