Someone above did make a good point about his Mrs being happy to be with him and have his kid. That has made this far more complicated for the club because if she hadn't I don't think he'd even have a 1% chance of playing again.

Ultimately the club make the call too, not us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The club will make the call based on how they think it will go down with the fans, that's us.

Also, they have to consider Greenwoods mental state. Can he handle the abuse from 40k away fans week in week out?

Great example using Chris Brown, a man accused of beating several women?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has he ever been charged for beating several women or this is just something you want to throw around for the sake of it??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You haven’t seen the pictures of Rhianna then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh he will have. Its just won't bother him because regardless of her being beaten black and blue, she probably deserved it. Alpha male just laying down the law.

It's his kinky side.

The club will make a call based on how far Chris Brown can get away with beating up women obviously.

Option 2 for me. I hope he does realise what he's done, and vows to become better.
But I couldn't cheer him on, the recording did it for me. It sounded more like he hated her than loved her.p

Probably 2 for me as well.

Regardless, I'd be very surprised if Greenwood returns the same player, or even gets back to that level. These are 2 crucial years of development where he has had no involvement with the game whatsoever.

If he did play for us again then I would throw away my ipad and never stream a United game again. Then the club would surely reverse the decision. Us fans need to be taken seriously.

Fans are fickle though. If he bangs in a winner against City would you boo? Of course not.

They can't sack him now that's for sure. So it's sell loan or keep.

I think they will loan him personally and buy some time to assess the situation for next summer.

It isn’t a good point.

It’s a terrible, terrible, terrible point.

Which demonstrates an absolutely astounding lack of knowledge/understanding of the dynamics of violent, abusive relationships.

There are literally millions of women around the globe who stay with, and marry, and have the children of, men who beat them *and their kids* on a daily basis.

HOW DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW THIS IN THE 21ST CENTURY FFFS?!

A good point, is he even worth all the hassle?

Has he been training with the squad do we know?

There’s always the very real possibility that he repeats his behaviour so why risk it? Send him overseas.

I never said anything like that and I'm fully aware of those points you raised.

If it was so easy then why has nothing been decided yet then? Clearly it is more complex than you make out.

Didn't the police statement also say withdrawal of witness AND new evidence that has come to light too? So we don't have the full facts.

I still think he should go on loan too and we buy some time.

So let him go and do it somewhere else?

Truth is none of us really know. It seems most are in one of to camps, people who commit such crimes cannot be rehabilitated and deserve a lifetime of punishment and others who do believe people can turn their lives around and deserve a second chance.

Without a true picture though, we can only go on the video evidence. Everything else is ifs or buts and there are plenty of variables to situations like this.

The recidivism rate for perpetrators of domestic violence is incredibly high, even when compared with other violent crimes.

Statistically speaking, offenders reoffend. That's what they do.

Of course I did. It was awful.

However we don't have trial by social media in this country do we? We may as well sack all the judges and get rid of courts if we are to go down that route.

The club have to decide ultimately. I will back their decision either way as they have more info than we do for sure.

Whether you disagree or not.....that decision of them trying to make it work is giving him a lifeline to maybe play again is it not?

Without it I doubt he'd have any chance tbh.

I’m sure a few holidays in Barbados and a brand new Lambo dulled her objections nicely

He only did it once. He was just showing her where she lies in the food chain. Tate said so.

To somewhere where beating up women is more palatable?

Do we still have that convict island in the southern hemisphere?
