Good article. If it weren't for the shambolic manager hunt and the fact he's basically a criminal, there's no doubt he'd be remembered fondly

Paratici is a scout first and foremost. His talent is an eye for players. He did that well at Samp and Juve. Things went bad for him once Morrata left because what Paratici isn't is a money man, or good at talent spotting managers. No surprise for us that the managers he appointed were mixed at best, but actually worse than that.

But his players are good. Bentancur, Kulu, Romero have all been good signings. Udogie and Vicario will be excellent, and I believe Sarr and Gil have big futures ahead of them. Sarr has big reputation now also because of his excellent performance in Milan. Even Royal seems now to be better.

But Spurs should have backed him for Min Jae as alternative to Bastoni and Kvar also. Even for Gvardiol they should have backed him and paid big money. Better 100 million on Gvardiol last summer than 60 million on Richarlison. But with players like Min Jae and Amarabat the feeling is Spurs fans opposition played a part in the not being pushed through. I do not know. But think Spurs fans maybe need to be a little more open to signing under radar players.

Agree with everything you regarding Vicario, he is an excellent keeper with lightning reactions and is regarded by some as the best young goalkeeper in Europe. He has only one weakness that I can see, and that is when he makes a save he more often than not pushes the ball back towards the attackers, not to the side of the goal and greater safety. I am sure that this can be coached out of him and I think we all got so fixated with getting Raya (who I think is a superb keeper too) that to some Vicario seems like second best, which I can assure fellow Spurs fans, he is most certainly not second best.
As for Udogie, I am really looking forward to seeing him in our colours. He keeps getting rave reviews in Serie A and I am sure the Postecoglou will love having both of these players at Spurs🤔👍

I think that Paraticci has had a pretty decent record at Spurs. NOne have been total flops although maybe Gil was a mistake in that he's just not really built for this league and lacks the ability/experience of being able to play a more centrol role, which might suit him better.

Gil was on of his first signings and maybe he did truly appreciate the rigours of the PL and how a spotty six-firmer might struggle to impose himself in the PL team.

Emerson has come good recently but clearly as a strong defensives full back, not really a wing back - so again he missed the detail of what was needed there really.

I love Bentancur, he is classy and to me the closest we have ever got to replacing Dembele, in that he is happy to receive the ball in tight spots, retains it well even under pressure, can stride forward, and can play it simple or through the lines. For £17m he is absolute class.

Deki was a revelation when he arrived but I think he was one of several who suffered under Conte's negative approach, but he also dropped his own standards a bit and struggled after inury.
