49ers and 49ers Enterprises are two different things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both are owned by the York family Jonty so I think there's a very good chance the same sensible govenence will happen at Leeds but obviously nothing is ever a given but the signs are certainly promising and I personally think it should give us reason to be a little optimistic.

They’re completely different things.
49ers enterprises do not run the 49ers, so getting excited by fans who like way 49ers are run is a bit strange.
Reality is 49ers enterprises have no experience in english football and all the signs so far back that up, I get that fans grab onto anything in hope but just look at facts:
EfL not approved takeover (what happens if they don’t approve it?)
We have no head coach
We’ve done little if anything to prepare team fir season which starts in 6 weeks
"We’ve done little if anything to prepare team fir season which starts in 6 weeks"
At the same time nobody here has any idea off what's going on behind the scenes, I don't think they'll be sitting on their thumbs hopeing everything will automatically fall into place leaving them with a team that'll walk this league!..
Ridsdale sent us in freefall, Bates and Cellino used the club for their own means, AR did a good job with the finances and got us back up, shame he couldn't put the people in place to keep us up!..
Like all before the 49ers, I'll give them the chance to deliver, but I think they'll do better because they have more to back them up than what Bates, Cellino or AR had, and there is a reason AR let go, because he knew he couldn't go any further!..
No reason why the 49ers cant do better with us until we see how it goes, but not rushing and finding the best they can, surely that's better then what we've had sinse Bielsa!..
And looking at the people that have been allowed to take over English clubs there is no reason why they shouldn't get the green light!..
And Mrs Bosses Viki says she's the owner off the 49ers and Co owner off Leeds United!..
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denise_DeBartolo_York
49's Enterprises is the business arm of the NFL side San Francisco 49ers!..
We'll have to agree to disagree Jonty... Essentially I think the same business ethics will be applied to Leeds as what has been applied to the 49ers and although it's a different sport etc and caution always needs to be taken when new owners enter the frame I'm a lot more encouraged and optimistic about Leeds going forward in a more positive manner than previous owners but of course time will tell and atm with no news of a new manager, signings etc it's understandable to imagine the worst and be wary but according to Phil Hay anyway we will hear news on all those fronts by the end of this week.

what is it that makes you "a lot more encouraged and optimistic"?
Some 49ers fans liking their owners? Like Watford fans said Gracia was a good appointment?
I think its much more important to look at what they're actually doing with us, which to date appears to be very little despite all the rhetoric about plans if we stay up, plans if we get relegated.
If they didn't realise EFL would want to check out new owners then it serves to show how naive they are with their approach to football and I dont want to keep hearing about "learning the game" etc.
They've been involved a for a few years now, they could/should have been using that time to get properly up to speed if intention was always to take over.
Don't get me wrong, I hope that they're good owners but we've seen zero evidence so far to back up that hope.
There is zero evidence to say they are good owners or bad owners. We know zilch, nada.
We were told last week by Phil Hay no managerial announcements until the approval. God knows what is happening with that. Seems to be taking far too long. Who knows if we already have a manager in place behind the scenes. We seem to be getting linked to players (in and out)

well, when you have so many people involved ed in this consortium to buy us, they all have to be checked out, intakes time.
I imagine it's not helped by the fact that Peter Ridsdale is on the EFL board

What does Ridsdale have against the fans of Leeds?
I think Ridsdale wont be happy that I'm not to keen on his badge!..
So if he has anything against that, than sh!t!..
Good grief, I did not know Ridsdale was a part of the EFL board. How in the blazes is he allowed to hold such a position? It beggars belief.
Yes my gut feeling that we are in good hands is only based on some flattering tweets over the way the 49ers are run and I will keep that feeling until there is solid evidence to suggest are new prospective owners are not conducting themselves in a similar professional fashion in the club's best interests but if as I suspect the delays are out of their control then I am okay for now with being patient.
I'm as eager as everyone else to hear the news that we have a new boss and I'm hoping yes there's that word hope again that Stephen King's The Shawshank Redemption so beautifully immortalised in book and then film and is what I prefer to cling to and hope for the best but if there is still no news by next Monday then obviously I will then start to have serious concerns but until then I'm on the side of no news is good news.
Nat Phillips being attached to us now.
Perkins being linked away on loan. That seems strange as i thought hed be pushing for a first Team place this season
I've gone from frustration to intrigue on this summer's
activity. I'm starting to think think the 49ers group will
surprise us. Even if it is later than we hoped.
*not 'think think' just 'think'
