If you can curb his boozing, he’d be a good signing for you in the Championship👍 (would further put you ahead of us for planning for next season).
If he proved fitness would have him back on a pay as you play basis say till end of this year then see how it goes.
We have nothing to lose ,he has everything to gain.
Did leave a bit of bad taste the way he left, but he really has paid a very high price, somewhat a wasted career .
But think it worth a chance.
Nah, just thinking of himself, nothing against him leaving but he went missing far too often apart from the Title Winning Season.
An upgrade on Tielemans but then a plank would be
When I first read this and what he himself is reported as saying, my initial reaction was you’ve got to be joking Danny. However, having considered a little more I have come to the conclusion that it might be a deal worth doing, albeit on a match by match basis. His hardest battle would be to get fully fit but if he could do that and his attitude was 100% it could be beneficial for both him and us.
His loan spells have been pretty disastrous and at 33, he’s in the last chance saloon. His reported comments seem to indicate he is well aware of that.
What have we got to lose?
Not for me.
There’s a reason his career has been the disaster it has and if Nigel Pearson is calling you a complex character then that’s really saying something.
Pay as you play could be a reasonable option if he was genuine about getting his career back on track but nothing else.
Would touch him if we were in league one. It’s an awful idea and he’s only bleating now because he literally has no other options.
Hopefully not. An integral part of our title winning side so a legend. Let him keep that status, could only see bad things happening if he were to return now.
I still like him and i never fault him for leaving especially after adding a season or two after the title win. The question now is fitness and attitude, if he's committed as the 15/16 season then why not, Danny has been better than most midfielders we had/have
I could make a long response but it’s easily summed up
HELL NO!!!!!!!!
UTF
Too disruptive and too long without any kind of form, he's finished as far as I'm concerned.
Go to Celtic Danny.Perfect fit
Has to be said, there must be a reason why so many loan moves turned out so disastrously badly. I personally wouldn't touch him as a current player his life went totally off track, but thank him for his past contributions
