Spurs have appointed a coach that has never managed in a competitive league. He made his mark at Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory
Now, let that sink in.
The Spurs “faithful” will have turned on him and hounded him out by the international break, to be replaced by Neil Lennon. 😂

I'm in Oz and his time at Brisbane Roar is still talked about. Obviously he's a big risk but could be a very savvy appointment!

Nothing about Villa?
wouldnt bet against them breaking into the top 6 under Emery, Tielemans on a free is a good signing despite being poor last season in a very poor side, the iminent arrival of Pau Torres is a great signing to strengthen the back line, a couple of more good signings and they will be up there as well imo

Even this AussieGlucose is decent but Looters will soon hound him like Conte
The transfer window is, unfortunately, pivotal.
I’d also not write Aston Villa off, their form when emery took over was great and they’ve added Tielemans and Torres already.

Arsenal will have another good season and Rice will improve them but they also need another CB to cover if they get any injuries.
City will still be the team to beat
Liverpool are sorting out their midfield problems
Poch will improve Chelsea
ETH needs funds to make United better and the delay in the takeover is isn’t helping him.
Be interesting to see how the Geordies and Brighton get on now they’ve got European football to contend with.

Villa will be a great bet for The Conference Cup.
Only risk to City is their own complacency.
Arsenal look like they are reinforcing well, but perhaps still lack that 20 goal striker and not convinced by their defensive back ups - Closest challenger to City IMO.
United - Flatter to deceive a bit IMO. Very reliant on Rashford, dont really score enough considering their defence is far from the best. In the mix for top 4.
Liverpool - Seem to be refreshing their squad and will benefit from having a fit Diaz. Never have a problem scoring but their defence looks to be in decline and this will prevent them from making any serious challenge - In the mix for top 4.
Newcastle - Really ended last season on a roll. A very decent squad and setup but think the growing degree of expectation may hinder them. In the mix for top 4.
Chelsea - Poch is a quality coach and the squad they now have is pretty decent and young, which is what he likes. A lot of unknowns and the pressure will be on them to achieve top 4. Still behind the rest IMO. Outside chance of top 4.
BHA - Quality coach and some very decent players. They will lose 2 or 3 of their stars and this slight reset will set them back a bit. - In the mix for top 6.
Villa - Very good, tactical manager who has Villa playing very well. Maybe a bit over reliant on Watkins goals and they were the lowest scorers in the top 10. In the mix for top 6.
Spurs - Who knows what the new man will bring, very much an unknown quantity. Much will depend on if Kane stays and if he goes, who comes in. Look to be making some decent signings to address issues but defo a transition year, which will probably gather pace as the new regime begins to click - In the mix for top 6.

But agree they should be considered at least in the mix for a European place. They've got a really decent spine of players, from Martinez in goal to Watkins up top. Could probably do with more depth and some additional quality generally but they're in a promising position too.
