No way will he drop to the Championship. He would walk into half the PL teams.

Yeah, would be highly unlikely he’ll play in the championship
Had to chuckle at this, I clicked on the Premier League board and this was on there!
Shouldn’t this be on the Championship Board?

Still in denial
All of those midfields built over time.
We have to start somewhere, but its going to take time to build a midfield let alone a team.
Bobby Collins, Revie really rated him, said he was the best player he ever signed, without him, we would never been the side they evolved into.

We’d never have been half the side without our Scottish players, that’s for sure.
Isn't this season the perfect opportunity to see whether Darko Gyabi can cut the mustard at this level?

Can say that for lots of the kids, Drameh we know has shown he has got what it takes in the championship, so too Cresswell, Hjelde did OK at Rotherham and should press on this season, he is 19. Hope Summerville stays as he will do well, Gyabi, Gray, Greenwood, Joseph, Gelhardt, Perkins, Bate and Rutter all looking exciting. I think we have an exciting future.
I wouldn't be keen on starting with any u21s in our midfield. Happy for Gyabi and Bate to occupy first team spots, but would like to see big recruitment there. Be a big decision to throw Gyabi in, and puts a lot of weight on fairly inexperienced shoulders.
Like to see us get Gus Hamer from Coventry. If we set up something like:
-----------Adams
Hamer-----------Molumby
with
----------Gyabi
Bate-------------Forshaw
As support, then I'd be relatively pleased with where the midfield is.
I think we're going to lose Adams, Lubo. It's a damned shame as he's a top player but I'd be very surprised if he stays.
Hamer seems like a good option, according to Hay on the TSB...
I wouldn't mind Adams going too much, provided that we replace him well. Seen reports that he's happy to stay, but might be nonsense. Hard to know what to believe at this stage.
Also, I don't really think we need to sell him, so if there isn't a clause then I'd keep him regardless.

I read Villa been sniffing around but have baulked at the £25m valuation and are looking elsewhere. This looks utter nonsense on so many levels.
First up, Adams is not a 25m player. He looked great in a dreadful midfield, under a series of woeful coaches. In a better team, we would, I think, begin to see his limitations. He is a bit one-dimensional, but he is perfect for the Championship if he can stay fit.
We need at least one creative midfielder. Some clubs can do without that kind of spark, but all of our great teams have had that leader. I forgot to add David Batty to that list, another standout in a Leeds shirt.
I would like to see us bring in an experienced midfielder, someone who has played at this level and can buy into Farke's vision, someone who will become our talisman.
Farke had that in Buendia and I am sure he is looking for someone to fill that role. Ok, Connor Gallagher is a bit ambitious, but how about someone like Christian Eriksen, who is just beginning to lose his place at OT?
Harrisons had a minor operation, Tyler is unsure of his future wants to stay in England be it at Leeds or elsewhere, if the club can get good money for him they might sell though hes not fit at the moment, what wont be good is if we keep him and he only plays 20 games due to injuries,

We looked a much better side with him than without.
I am not sure how it is possible to value any player in the market at the moment, Rice £100m+, surely if that's your yardstick, £25m isn't over-inflated for him.

Missed Batty but had Bowyer in the midfield greats list, liked Lee Bowyer but not sure.
Mentioned elsewhere, on the height debate, should Flynny be on your list, if just for nuisance value.
Don't think you need a playmaker in the midfield. Buendia started off wide and drifted inside to be an advanced creator under Farke. Think we will see that here, backed by a fairly industrious midfield three.
