There is an Ashes thread that has been going since the start. Click on Cricket and then teams. Ignore the one by a Sandy as that is just him talking to himself.

My article is for lovers of proper Test cricket. The other article is for those that love bush, bash, bosh 20/20 nonsense.

Cricket is brilliant. Play every Saturday even at 50+
Don't go on the cricket threads though. Too much bs there.
To be expected though. The mount of BS from English commentators and media is annoying too.
But the game itself is fantastic. This ashes has been great so far
I love Cricket. Will be at the Test Match for one day and The Hundred over the next few weeks. In fact I will be at OT watching a Hundred game whilst United are playing at OT vs Lens up the road.

City aren't registered in the Cayman Islands but we know a club that are.
Used to watch a big game here or there when I lived in the UK and especially made an effort for the one day world cup.
Alas, since being in the US for 13 years now I haven't got a clue any more and not sure I could name a player.
My best memories of cricket were the tests against the West Indies, as a young lad I was mesmerised by the giants Curtley Ambrose and Courtney Walsh fast bowling.
The problem with test cricket is that it is either far too boring or far too exciting. The whole of the current Ashes falls into the latter category. First two losses were unbearable, the win brilliant. I’ve loved it since I done a stint working in Oz. Nothing more satisfying than watching cocky cheating Ozzie barstewards lose at the game that is their national obsession.

My first ever test match was v Australia at the Oval. Lillie and Thompson bowling. Unfortunately England’s secret weapon was the ultra defensive David Steele who took 6 hours (including stoppages for bad light) to make 30 runs. Amazing I ever went to another game.
