Ange Will convince him to stay
I imagine Harry will do a lot of polite nodding
Arry's missus wouldn't approve 😁
I'm told Harry Kane has said, many times, that he want to win some silverware before he retires.
How on earth is Assieglue going to convince him that staying at Spurs will accomplish that?
Oh well, there's the 400 K / week too.
But Harry is probably making close to that one way & another now.
Well Assieglue could try to talk down the Bayern squad, but that would only turn the spotlight on the Spurs squad, that lack of CBs worth a damn, and god only knows what Harry thinks of Solomon and Madison?
If Aussieglue persuades Kane to stay, I'll.......eat my Christmas pudding right here and now in July!
I’m surprised SSN haven’t a big yellow headline saying HARRY KANE TO TELL SPURS HE WANTS TO LEAVE ………. According to reports from SSN Germany , the same outlet that says we we’re holding talks with JN that never happened. Total BS he will still be at spurs next season.

How can any manager convince a player they are going to win stuff, unless you are Pep when it is virtually guaranteed.
Poch Klopp ETH could all say the same thing as Ange, doesnt guarantee anything, even though the track record of some f these guys may be more conpelling.
From the sounds of it Ange is a very good and inspiring communicator. That may not be enough to convince Kane to stay, right now, but he may become more convinced as time goes on through the summer and into the season.
For this reason, i think we just need to say to Kane, no move, and hope that Ange can prove in the half season that we are moving forward significantly and stand a good chance of securing success. But Levy needs to help by getting the signings in that we need. A good start but more needed.
If Kane doesn’t move it really just does go to show how little ambition he has in his career.
I think Spurs will become a decent side under Postecoglou but it won’t be for a few seasons and I can’t see you in touching distance of silverware for a couple of years at least

Yeh, I was listening to some mug on 5live yesterday, they were discussing Spurs and this clown claimed that Nagelsman was our top target and he turned us down. He was talking as if it was 100% fact, when the truth is nobody knows for sure what our interest in Nagelsman was.
It was bone idle and lazy journalism at its finest, but this is what happens when you give certain people jobs in the media purely for box ticking and tokenistic reasons, rather than their ability to know what they are talking about.
The simple truth is that while it would be a huge pain in the ar5e for Ange to do 2 consecutive rebuilds (defense this summer) & possibly our CF & attacking focus next, the likelihood is that Kane is gonna stay.
No matter how much Bayern want Kane, Levy is gonna keep pushing back because we simply have no chance now of replacing Kane's goals.
Kane would be out of his mind to push for a move now when he can stay, get 20+ goals closer to Shearer, may win a trophy & may be onto something good if Ange is all he's cracked up to be. He has no need to sign anything now. 400K a week from Spurs will be on the table in 12 months as will equivalent offers (if not more) from all over Europe (Inc the PL).
If Levy is willing to lose 100mln quid in the hope of winning something this season, then fair play to him.
Sadly, I don't think Spurs will be a top 4 team or will win a cup next season and Kane will win his 1st trophy and break Shearers record elsewhere.
I just hope this doesn't come back to bite us in terms of hurting our ability to rebuild the squad longer term for a time beyond Kane being our most important player

We are 2 x quality CB`s, a quality upgrade on Hojbjerg, and another wide forward away from having a very good squad in my opinion. Sort all that and I don`t see any better squads barring City.
How Ange knits it all together is another question, it may click straight away or it may take time. Our problem, as always, will be the level of ambition shown from the board.
Levy wont lose 100m quid because no one is offering that.
Right now Munich are offering (reportedly) 70m.
I think we have to move on from any thought of "replacing Kane's goals". If Kane goes then our way of playing changes, the sources of our goals change. Arsenal came second without one player scoring more than 15 PL goals. Martinelli Saka Odegard & Jesus scored about 56 between them. Liverpool similarly share their goals across the attack 4 a lot more.
We'd need to look for greater contributions from Son (compared to last season) Deki and other but Maddison adds a new source of goals. He gets about 10 a season.
We'd also have to accept that losing Kane makes this in to a much bigger reset that will take more time to develop from
As for cups, winning them can be quite random, depends on the draw, a bit of luck, how you or your opposition turn up on the day. There is nothing to say that by the time the serious cup games come along that Ange-ball wont be up and running and that we could potentially beat anyone on our day...in which case a cup win is always possible

Unless a huge bid comes in, we keep him, hope to convince him over time and may be if its 100% clear he wont sign a new deal then we sell in Jan where we'd easy get a few 10s of millions. At that point it matters less where we sell because come the summer he goes where he wants anyway. But if Bayern paid £30m for Mane they'd defo pay similar or more for Kane in Jan, to 100% get him because they know if it goes to the summer then there will be a massive queue for his services and they may not win that race.

Think you're right. I think there's ZERO % chance Kane will sign a new deal, sadly I could see selling Kane mid season massively destabilizing the squad... Just not sure there's any point. 70mln now rather than 30mln in Jan or a lot of hope and praying seems like a better business decision.
Yeah, going in Jan could upset it all a bit but at the same time, how committed will Kane be as his contract winds down to nothing. Not saying he'd go on striker but he would naturally protect himself and his future.
Kinda depends where our season is at that point. Sat in touch of top 4 then no chance he goes, but if we're just slowly improving then may be it makes sense.
I'm hoping Kane's desire for the PL record offsets the possibility he might want not want to be fully committed/ protect himself for a megabucks summer move.
I'm still not sure Levy Stance is the right one. If kane wont sign a new deal then move on and sell to the highest bidder this summer. The damage has already been done.... Hiring Conte was a disaster and ending up 8th with no European football and then talk about not selling to a rival is kinda ridiculous....Newcastle, City, Liverpool, United etc (or wherever Kane might wanna go) are miles ahead of us at this point
Kane shouldn't need much persuading to stay for next season. For him it's simply the most sensible move cause then he will have his pick of clubs to go for if we haven't proven to him we're making enough progress.
Although is Levy going to allow Kane to be in that position where he can leave for a free if he won't sign a new contract this summer?
