Haven't seen him play but he averaged a match rating of over 7 last season which says he's very consistent and doesn't have many poor games if any. He's Irish, so we know he'll be tenacious, hardworking and hopefully a younger Dallas

So our latest signing is Aberdeen's 16-year-old Lewis Pirie. All very well but we need experienced players for the first team, not the under-18s. We've been hearing for several years now that players like Archie Gray are coming through the ranks, but for the blood and guts of the Championship you need journeymen with grit and guile. There's still time for signings, but I'm getting a bit worried about what seems to be complacency on our part.

Twice. But I'm no expert on players.

The people who are, say he's being put in the same
sentence as Hamer, Piroe, Gykores, Akpom, Drameh,
Sam Field and several others who are classed as
the cream of the crop of Championship players.

The type of players that can be got if LUFC is really
a big fish in a small pond. And a club seen as one
that'll smash it in this league. Not sure we are. At all.

Plus, he was on a free. However, his manager from
Swansea is now at Southampton. He seems to be
sold on them and their chances over ours. I don't think
he's wrong.

On paper, and football reality, we're miles behind
Southampton and Leicester right now. Slow start to
our season is what I'm expecting.

The people who are, say he's being put in the same

I think the worrying thing for me is our supposed rivals are making these signings when we are stick in limbo.

Gykores on his way to Lisbon, Coventry having sold him for up to £20m. Though I am confident of the potential that Rutter brings to the table this year, I do wonder why, when that kind of player was available for that price, why we weren't all over it last season.

Even if he was crap for us (unlikely) he was on a free thus didn't lose **** all.

Far as I'm concerned, he was in team of the season based on his ratings for the season, for a team that didn't do anything.
