Just read that elsewhere. Is it a punt? Or just
an invite to train?
Connected to Farke, so seems plausible.
Wondering if the Ryan Fraser rumours might
be true based on this and Farke connection?
He has averse about 11 games a season since he left us. 10 if you only count league fixtures.
He has been a little better these past couple of seasons to be fair to him... But his injury record is atrocious, he has hamstrings made of glass...
There's also the rumoured link to Billy Gilmour.
When I reflect on last season one of the missing ingredients in our side was STRENGTH.
Agree with LIW who has more than once recently said you cannot question the players effort last season (maybe Weston we can), its the managements fault. I do think players like Aaronson put the effort in - he just was not strong enough mentally but more so physically.
Our goalkeeper Meslier - not a commanding presence in the box and built like a lamp-post.
Centre backs - Koch Llorente Struijk are three of the weakest centre backs going. Unable to ever dominate strikers because they lack strength. Flimsy performers.
Our viking warrior signing Kristensen turned out to be more of a saxon monk. Firpo the wooden footballer but made of bamboo not oak.
Summerville and Greenwood flimsy and easy to dispossess. Roca was too slow to catch anyone to use his strength.
Aaronson the weakest player in the Premier League. A fart would blow him over.
Bamford never once ruffled the feathers of the opposition centre backs as he once did.
Worrying then that we have the likes of Costa and Poveda returning to the club.
Its like we became Care Bear Fc. A cuddly set of players who could run around but were unable to physically match any other side.
and the club are giving a trial to Sam Byram.......

Add to that weakness that they are also a defeated squad. Went out with a whimper. No fight in them.
Effort, yes. Agree can't fault effort. But, a lot of that
was wasted as they looked like headless chickens
half the time.
Agree on Byram. No thanks.
For me, I'd like us to bring in bigger, stronger,
tougher players. Ones who know the Championship.
Not the ones who lit up the super leagues of far
off countries.
Kebab, bamboo has a tensile strength stronger than steel, if only Firpo was even close to that, balsa may be more accurate.
Outwood, we're going to feel that massive ineptitude
of Radrizzani and the reckless work of Orta for at least
two more seasons. Criminal by both.
I'm starting to resign myself to this being a two season
project. Probably the club is looking at consolidating
this season. Clear the books. Do some late (very late)
transfer work. See what Farke gets out of them.
I would guess the new DoF will be in place before the
January window. If we're close to top 6, I see that
DoF bringing in players. If we aren't, I can see the club
waiting until next summer, readying for year two.
Nothing right now says we're going for it.

Thanks for that. I suspected bamboo was quite strong but couldnt think of a weak wood. Balsa fits the bill.
29 ...... where has that time gone. Remember Aguero giving him a pat on the back on West Ham debut when he was like 19.
Id rather we Max Aarons from them tbh

Couple of signings I think
I suppose it was too much to expect Leeds could possibly do things smoothly, straight forward and without drama... there just seems to be constant chaos and anxiety attached to the club.
We'll see what unfolds these next few weeks but the noises emenating out of Elland Road appear to be the same old horrible tune we've all grown accustommed to when there are serous problems behind the scenes.
I know we all tend to imagine the worst anyway but I truly hoped Radz and his entourage leaving would be the beginning of a bright new dawn.... silly me I never learn.
I hope I'm wrong but the longer this uncertainty goes on and then scraping the barrel for freebies and loans desperately before the Cardiff game then you can only wonder have we replaced like for like upstairs and we're destined to be a championship club for years and years while Leicester and Southampton bounce straight back up.

Costa, Poveda - and James!!
Hopefully this isn't quite what it seems regarding Byram. He's purely staying in shape rather than being a realist.
But I share the general bewilderment for sure.

Being reported now that he's just using out facilities to train due to being without a club and having both a connection with us and with Farke.
‘No thanks’ from me too. That ship sailed a long, long time ago.
Farke's words, that we can never let this happen again, are still ringing in my ears. We always let this happen again. And again.
The overreaction on her to literally anything is pretty laughable.
