They're launching a new brand called No More Baills.
If we made £100m in sales that doesn't mean we have £100m to spend does it? I thought it varies depending on whether they're home grown, also I thought transfer fees are spread over the period of the contract not in one go which is why I've always been confused by this supposed £120m we have to spend.
The salary would also go into the budget. One could imagine Bailly, Telles, and Fred in addition to Maguire are on high salaries given the period they were signed/renewed. If we sign Amrabat and another CB their salaries would be much lower and so there would be some more going into the budget.
Onana Mount and Hojlund (if we get him) would all have some value left in 4-5 years should we want to move them on.
This is how a proper football club acts rather than throwing daft money at every 33 yr old plus that moves who have no resale value whatsoever.

There's a difference between:
- How much cash we have to spend (immediately and in meeting future instalment payments), and
- How much we're 'allowed' to spend under FFP.
If the club brings in £120m cash from player sales, there's nothing stopping it using all of that cash immediately. FFP rules can't stop that happening.
Although FFP is an ongoing concern, cash I think is at least as much of an issue at present. The Glazers don't want to be spunking loads of money if it will add to short-term debt given all else that's going on with the club's finances.
Looking at the sales above, we'd be looking at big benefits for FFP: Henderson, McT and Elanga would be pure profit (academy sales are massively, massively valuable for FFP, which sees them as pure income). Telles and Fred's contracts have nearly run down, meaning we've already amortised most of their transfer fees, so again, from an FFP perspective, most of the cash we'd recoup would look like profit.
Then we'd be talking, if we shifted the seven in the OP, for example, about getting something in the region of £700-800k per week off the profit/loss.
Whatever comes in will be spent, IMO.

Yeah, five or six of those I expect, with one or two going out on loan.
Still leaves Martial, Beekers and Williams to deal with.

I think Martial is staying and the reality is no one is giving a fee or paying his full wage so we may as well run down his contract and hope he can contribute.
I think someone will take VDB on loan or a the cheap.
Williams ridiculous wages for what his done in the game are the issue imo and we’ll struggle to shift him.
If Eth wants funds he should try and shift Sancho whilst he’s still got a decent value. His wages are the big problem, pretty much destroying that avenue

Agree. Can’t see anyone paying a decent fee or anything like his current wages.
Is Williams on fairly high wages? If so that’s ridiculous.

Maybe they’d only want him on loan though. That’s my worry with Chelsea.
I think there’s probably about £32m to amortise off his transfer fee and he’s reportedly still due about £16m in wages over the next two seasons.
So a transfer fee of £30m would pretty much wipe the amortisation off the accounts and wipe £8m per season off the wage bill. That has to be the target IMO.
Might pop over to the Chelsea board to see how excited they are about the rumours
Telles deal done with Al-Nassr.
£15m fee reportedly agreed with Forest for Elanga, who is scheduled to have a medical on Monday.
Also murmurings that Forest want to take Henderson on loan again rather than a permanent deal
Elanga deal done with Forest. Reportedly £15m, which seems sensible for both clubs, and a good move for the player.
