Lol from Kim Min-Jae to Evans. Don’t worry you still have Past-it Injury prone Varane, overrated midget Martinez and error-prone Lindelof
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Varane may be injury prone but if you think he’s past it you’re even a bigger moron than I thought.
Good news Edwin Van Der Sar is out of intensive care
Sorry didn’t see Pun’s post.
Let’s hope he’s ok now.

Oi bottlenal fc. Go talk about bottling with your bottleham bottlepurs crew in North Bottledon. Leave the football talk to proper teams and fans. Thanks.
So does that mean we now have a player that links us back to SAF again?

We should've kept Smalling too instead of signing Maguire and used that money to improve the midfield, although that money probably would've been used poorly as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think I could have watched DDG and Smalling try to play out from the back.
That would have finished me off, tbh.
Different CB but a nice appreciation post for how good Martinez has been since being labelled as unable to cope with the PL after 2 games.
Best signing since Bruno.

It’s not like Maguire was ever that great at playing out from the back, he either just ran incredibly slowly looking awkward then smacked it long or just ran incredibly slowly looking awkward and then passed it back to the keeper.
I don’t think I could have watched DDG and Smalling try to play out from the back.

We weren't that great at it anyway with Maguire in the side, especially when you add AWB to the mix.
That really was one of the worst transfer windows we've had.

I loved Ole and think he gets more stick than he deserves sometimes but my god he can't escape how poor that window was in particular.
The club don't help given how poor we are in the market in general but Maguire n AWB were shocking signings for what we paid.
We spent £145m on Maguire, AWB and Dan James. And there were actually people that wanted Ole to be a director of football.

Dan James was the best business out of those as we even made profit thanks to Leeds

I’m sure Ole will have signed off on Maguire, but I’m not blaming him for that one. The club was tracking him for years, and actively tried to sign him before Ole joined.
AWB and James I don’t know about, but Maguire isn’t a Solksjaer signing in my book.

Wouldn’t be adverse to this. Rate Evans as much as I rate Maguire tbh.
Flog Harry for a bit of money, Lindelof, Shaw and Evans to be back ups, get in a striker, go for a top CB next summer

Maybe so but we sold him for a profit.
Maguire and AWB deals have been a lot more damaging due to costs and won't be easy to move on either like James was.
I don’t judge signings but profits we make on sales. Maguire and AWB actually contributed on the pitch. Dan James is one of the worst players to play for the club. He’s a sprinter, not a footballer.
This is my OP so we won't be having any Dan James criticism on here thank you!
