I have seen a lot of Cody and Cree playing together admittedly not recently and obviously for the U23's and they gel, whether that works now they are both a year or two older is anyone's guess.
Drameh has proved two years running he has the ability at this level and another year under his belt, I think will be our best player this season by a distance. If he leaves it will be to a Premier League outfit which will be bizarre. Obviously there is an overlap with Ampadu and I have to say I don't get this signing, we have Drameh and Bill at RB, Charlie, Wober and Coops CB and Adams and Gyabi at DM, it gives strength in depth but we should be prioritising elsewhere.

Drameh should be our first choice RB hands down. Has killed it out on loan two seasons running. Got promotion last season. Not sure what people want at that point. Guarantee him that berth and he stays.

If we sell him then we would need to sign another RB. Don't think the club will want that.

Respect your point of view, I just don't see it with Drameh. At senior level never have.

Ampadu's a cracking signing.

How much of Drameh at senior level have you watched, because he's only played a half handful of games for us, and seems to have smashed it with the Luton and Cardiff fans.

A fair bit on live games on Sky.

Willing to be wrong, we'll see.

Agree it is a good signing but he seems to duplicate a lot of places we already have answers for. I was thinking GK, Drameh (Bill), Charlie, Wober, (Cooper, Bill, Struijk), LB, Adams, Gyabi and if you add Dallas and Shackleton into that mix we have an awful lot of personnel filling the kind of roles he has been signed to play. Good signing but did we need to make it when other positions are screaming out to be filled. Two there for a start.

Even if we keep Adams isn't he still due to be out for a spell?

The other positions will be taken care of in due course.

We have to trust Farke on this. Ampadu is a very good start.

Also, if we're still considering Struijk as a centre-half then hopefully Ampadu makes having to use him there less likely.

We clearly needed another CM. Not even sure why that should be a discussion. We've lost two, and we had bad options there in the first place.

Even if Ampadu was being signed as a CB, it would still be fine. We have good options at LCB (all three would start for 21/22 other championship sides) but just Cresswell at RCB.

Lubo, once again we are strengthening in positions of relative strength before positions where we are screaming out for recruitment.

No keeper and no left back, no creative midfield. Exactly the kind of skewed thinking that means we have 6 wingers at the club (Harrison, Gnonto, Summerville, Sini, Poveda and Costa) and one recognised striker.

Club is victim of fecked up thinking.

Sign players when they become available. The club know they need a LB and a GK, but we also need another CM. Ampadu was available so they got him, and that deal was done before the others.

Clubs don't work on one deal at a time. The other positions will be being worked on.

If you have a limited budget and desperately need to fill certain positions you prioritise those positions, you don't sign players when they become available.

For over a season we have needed cover at left back, attacking midfield and GK and striker, we have signed players when they have become available and ended up with a misblalnced side and, though I wouldn't normally go there, shoe horning players, square pegs some people have called it.
I am glad that Ampadu is at the club but if we sign nobody else, what then?

This to me doesn't seem a great departure from what has happened at the club in recent years. No obvious sign of a plan.

Again, clubs will be working on more than one signing at a time. I'd also say that instead of one flat budget, they probably have smaller sub-budgets set up for each position we need (X amount on a CM, X amount on a CB, x amount on a LB etc).

I'm really not sure what your issue is. Ampadu was available and the deal got done. Should the club sit on that until other positions are sorted? Should they miss out on their first choice at CM and end up signing nobody in those positions?

It seems like complaining for complainings sake.
