The RFL are looking for people to become refs and touch judges, why not apply if you think you can do better?
Northern.Agree with you regarding childs, but i do feel in this case he was right, lynch appeared to step in front. The man who cost you the game was ah van, would be close to the record of knock ons in a match, and missed a penalty in front of the sticks.you deserved a win,but are playing a lot better.hope l'estrange injury is not as bad as it looked.!

Big fella
I couldn't do it as I have a well paid job and I'm too old now.
Yes craven maybe your right about Lynch but what about Herbert been put on his backside after a very late challenge by Wilkins and we got sweet F.A. for that.
Northern - Totally disagree with the Wilkin thing. He tackles Herbert around the chest at the exact point he kicks the ball. that tackle was in no way late and was totally legitimate. Agree with the Childs stuff, i thought he was shocking, but the opposite way to you. I dont think saints were given one borderline decision.
your second try, when Gaskell knocked on, your guy knocked on picking the ball up, so should have been a scrum, head and feed to you, not play on. i could not see how Dixon impeded Burgess for the lomax try, but you got that decision, and i coulnted at least 5 times you lost the ball in the tackle and no knock on was given.
the penalty at the end was a blatant block so i do not know how your lot can complain. you played ok, considering the conditions. it was perfect for Potters style of rugby, so i think you should be happy with a point.
is their any good refs about today i dont think so
Northern. I as i said i agree that childs is rubbish,he gets more wrong than right but i do think lynch was at fault. Is ah van usually that bad or was it just the wet condtions.??
awww my comment was deleted obviously the truth hurts
Barra, don't be upsetting Northern!!!!
I also agree about Childs, he is the worst ref going, but he DID get the call right at the end, Lynch clearly stepped across Gaskell!!
Also what was wrong with Wilkins tackle again??? I think you should watch it again my freind.
In all honesty I thought it was goiing to be one of those games where saints missed chances.
Well when Hull FC and Cas fans complained about him, we (mainly FC fans as we lost that game) got ridiculed for it...sounds like more and more people are noticing that he not upto the job...Simple as...
I don't think you did Offy. Childs is the weakest link in reffing circles.
Executing a DELETE statement can cause triggers to run that can cause deletes in other tables. For example, if two tables are linked by a foreign key and rows in the referenced table are deleted, then it is common that rows in the referencing table would also have to be deleted to maintain referential integrity.
What, Childs had a decent game very few decisions questioned by the commentary team and they all agreed as do I on the last gasp penalty.
Blatant obstruction end of...Bulls played well but just came up a little short no way was that the ref's fault.
would have been a riot if he had given saints another kick, when at least three bulls charged forward union style as Foster was running up to convert.Potts needs to tell them its league WE play
He got the call right, it was a blatant penalty so stop crying. Plus you got your own call when he gave you a try on the 7th tackle. Swings and roundabouts matey.
Kind of supports his case that childs is a rubbish ref though.... he also ignored several ball steals by Saints players, and how he missed the one by Wilkin, who literally spent about 10 seconds trying to pull the ball free.
in every game you can sit with the benefit of slow mo and replays and see where decisions could have been missed, it is the genius of hindsight.
There is too much to watch and Childs performance was not the discussion of the commentators as it was competent.
I wouldn't necessarily base all your opinions on what Stevo says.
Competent or not the referee's performance will always be blamed and highlighted by people who NEED to blame someone for their own, or their team's, inadequacies. And in all those cases - it really IS irrelevant.
Yes no one ever criticise a refs performances because its obvious you're only doing it because you were passed up for promotion at work.
He was truly shocking at the leigh v catalans cup game a few weeks back. Im a fan of neither side but he screwed leigh over something shocking in the last ten minutes
ronaldo - thanks for your kind thoughts. I feel I understand you a lot better now.
You should understand yourself better... you're talking rubbish.
