Hard to see has Jassim would meet the new owner tests without proving the source of his wealth / funding.

"you want to know where my money comes from?"

*pulls out wad of cash from pocket*

"Here's where my money comes from"

*Places wad in hand of official*

"Here, have a feel. See. There is nothing dodgy about it. Now if you don't mind, I'll be on my way"

"But sir, your wad of cash?"

"You hold on to that for me, I trust you"

*walks away*

Just wait until Jissum gets his sticky fingers on United

Be a sad day for this great club and for English football.

And let's be honest he's nothing but a stooge too. He's not the actual wealth behind the bid which makes me want it even less. They can't even be honest and open about such a simple fact. Reminds me of a certain club from East Manchester.

If Mbappe goes to Saudi for 260m earning 14m a week to then sign for Real Madrid for free in 2024 then it might well be the point where I totally give up on football.

It's gone beyond disgusting levels now. It's actually ridiculous.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just been talking about it in the office. Everyone is just laughing about how ridiculous at his become. I think that a lot of fans are losing interest in the game.

Well it would definitely shut up Utd fans having a pop at you for oil money for sure. No doubt.

However it wouldn't be a good thing for City if we get 'unlimited' wealth and our debt cleared. As soon as Pep leaves your be back to being irrelevant.

So choose your side.

The PL might have cash to offer but there is also football heritage too. We have some of the biggest clubs on the planet and a lot of tradition too.

Going to Saudi isnt anything like going to the PL or Italy / Spain when they were top dogs.

This is just insanity and wealth that goes beyond common sense. It's gone beyond football now. It's Political.

Forget the Mbappe nonsense, I’ve just read a tweet that blows that to pieces. Probably THE craziest, most ridiculous bid of them all!! Al Nassr have bid (allegedly) £20m for Bailly!! Are they mad!?!? Wait till our elite negotiating team gets on that, they’ll soon get it down to £1m……..

It is LIV golf all over again. Heritage, history, morals and sanity go out the window when the filthy lucre is dangled. Don't blame any of them.

But now you know how the rest of Europe has felt for the last 25 years so suck it up.

I won't be having any part of it if this is the future of elite level football.

It's an actual farce what it's become and exactly why I have said for years that middle eastern countries should never have been allowed in and their motives arent sporting ones, they are political.

That was a tragic day too of course but for different reasons.

The biggest club in the land selling it's soul for oil cash to let's be honest owners who only want a vanity project to promote their country is still sad.

I know it definitely makes us a stronger player in European football with richer owners and no debt but at what cost? City n PSG get nothing but ridicule. We won't be any different.

Football has gone beyond sport now. It's now political and I don't like it. It's taking what's left of the purity and joy out of the game.

It's exactly the same Melts. Saudi are just a bigger dog.

In your opinion maybe not. In plenty of others we are.

Liverpool fans for example are mostly dead against being owned by middle East nation despite its advantages. Just go ask them.

You're a Utd fan from down south VC who jumped on the bandwagon from the success of Busby. You were the original glory hunter on 606 if you will due to your age.
So I'm not not surprised you don't care who owns us. You only care about success otherwise you'd support a football club from the south of England near to where you grew up.

Of course it’s not, Saudi are spending vast amounts of money on their own league and they’re only a bigger dog because they’re actually using their government investment fund. Not sure the owner point is relevant, Joe Lewis doesn’t watch Spurs live either.

Premier League clubs have simply got to use this opportunity to get dead wood off their books. £20m for Bailly? 2 clubs in for him at that money. I'd be booking him his plane ticket right now. There might not be this opportunity again. What a way to balance the books!
