....and if we see Byram again?
Last 2 aint about fitness, they're about gelling, implementing tactics and getting a starting 11 somewhat working cohesively. Result kinda matters too, don't wanna be losing 2 nil to to a bang average side like them 10 days before we start. Good performance, good result and some visible progress is what we want on Thursday.
Part of me thinks Farke might pull a Bielsa at
Stoke first game of our campaign. That would
settle everyone's nerves.
Think Farke is still getting to grips with which players he can trust and which he can't. Think that will continue into the penultimate friendly, at least.
I'd imagine we see a similar mix of first XI and second squad players, with probably some of the players who only got half an hour against Monaco starting.

That would be more than welcome!!

If that's the case, Lubo, why is he still playing Bamford?

Bamford is a senior player on sizeable wages. He can't freeze him out unless we realistically believe there is a buyer. He will play minutes this season.
On top of that, if any player needs minutes to build fitness then its him.

Think we'll go Farke/Lambert Norwich. Slow start and then kick on mid season. We aint great but its difficult predicting us to lose at home to a team like Cardiff.

May the good Lord help us.
I would like to see Gyabi start with Ampadu and Cresswell and Cooper to start.
Id love to see Joseph given some time as a number 9 too.
Say what you want about Bamford but we don't seem to have anyone else who can play in his position. Thats due to poor transfers. Rutter doesn't seem like a striker.
Reports this morning ***king Bamford set to stay & now Adams wants to leave 🤬🤬
Can we have some good news one day please?
Can't go anywhere whilst he's injured surely
He could. He would perform a medical and the other club's staff would try and diagnose whether they think the injury will be a recurring thing, I would imagine.
Its why I'm surprised Harrison hasn't moved, even with an injury.
Best bet would be to let someone like Costa or Poveda move abroad on loan then it fills the quota. Then if Adams did want to move at least we would require a fee.
Well that's obviously of less immediate importance than the other snippet of news.
Smyth reporting Farke is going to have the following options to lead the line.
Bamford - hopeless
Rutter - a winger, albeit one I feel could shine this season
Joseph - yet to score a senior goal.
Surely we're not going to try & rely on those?
Plus more reports of Willy to Everton.
Why am I suffering visions of an old tyrant with a grey beard who stinks of urine?
Just seen that the Adams story was broken by Football Insider. I've had dumps more in the know than they are. Non-story.
