Not a good look though is it? His share of ENIC is in a family trust controlled by his daughter so it probably won't effect us if he does go down.

Going to jail at age 86 is no joke.
Perhaps ENIC will sell out soon after all?....

The geezer said he has been doing it for years so you would think they have substantial evidence. For them to go so public with the news, the SDNY must be confident? Interesting he said former lovers, pilots and friends, so it's possible they might have at least one of them who is willing to stand up in court and rat him out?

All speculation but this is big story. Expect all his skeltons about profiting from black Wednesday to come out and Spurs' name dragged through the mud with him.

I predict he won’t do any time whatsoever - his lawyers can tie up the system and wheels of justice for a decade and let’s face it, he is very unlikely to have a decade left , he is 86.

Still though, this is hopefully the beginning of the end for the tozzers that run our club.

Joe will never be brought to justice...He'll just maroon himself on his yacht with 10 beauties (I know at his age he should double that ) in one of those outside jurisdiction islands and no law enforcer will touch him.

The law may try to negotiate some kind of deal to have him pay something but that's just so the US law suiters can claim some "victory".

The law is for the rich - it protects them with smokes and mirrors (pretend justice) unless you are very very very unlucky!

They’ll just have him pay a load of money, they get nothing from trying to put an old man in prison when they know they can get an absolute fortune out of him.

It will be an interesting trial, if & when it happens. We'll see just how much of a cheat he is. If he's been involved for years, then jail will be a strong possibility. But it will not be Rikers Island. It will be a cushy white collar place.
Hopefully he will have to sell assets to pay the fines, and ENIC may be one of therm!

He'll get both. Jail will be mandatory.

Having read about what they've done with other billionaires in this situation he could well see prison. I guess you don't mess around with powerful people's money. The tricky part will be serving him while he's on a superyacht

My guess is someone in the US government wasn't happy with him telling Levy to sell Kane to Bayern
