Also, as it look like the Germans are determined to get him, it will probably end up with a deal with add-ons in the region of £100m or close to this, which will mean when Spurs go into market to get a replacement ever club will add a a markup fully knowing we aill be in a desperate situation to replace Kane and knowing Spurs have money to burn!

That friendly game just did not answer anything for me. Richy boy bullied that pub team but won't get away with it against top CBs.

I don't think we can say with certainty Richy will get us 20+ goals a season. That's how many goals we need a season to replace Kane.

I see him as max 15 goals in a very good season.

Ange can't win. If he does not pay him then he risks having no-preseason for his best player, and if he plays him, an injury to Kane could be devastating to our plans!

Shame we don't have a solid backup player to Kane. Poor recruitments paid an end to that!

Yes, we know how good Kane is and we don't need him to play some pub team to know this, and I agree on this

But of course, he needs to be playing against better sides in pre-season.

Spreading the goals around needs us to trust others to chip in. I trust Sonny when he is not injured, like he was last season but deadly like he was season prior, but don't see Kulu, Solomon, Madds, or the rest chipping in. Richy I see 10 goals from him. We will be way short in my view against seasons before.

I guess with Kane money, we should be able to shut the floodgates at the other end for once

Allegedly we have told them that we are interested in one of their top youth talents - Mathys Tel.

Could be that the meeting was cancelled so they could consider using Tel as a makeweight in the deal

I think we spunked 60m on Richy with this in mind.. Obviously him getting one goal for the season was hoping that this os not the case.
Think a CB will come in before Kane deal is finalised and that will be it unless Levy can get a last minute special that he so loves.

He can sign for Bayern in January, to join next season and Levy will get nothing. Unless the rule about foreign clubs doing a deal with soon to be out of contract players has changed?

Levy may well be of the opinion that our chances of qualifying for the CL are greatly increased by holding onto Kane and that would cover the transfer fee that we would currently get for him? Of course he might also hope that next season things are so improved that he changes his mind about signing a new contract

It's a risk and hugely increases the chances of him rocking up at the new Lane in a Chelsea/Utd kit during the 24/25 season but there we are.

If Kane wants to break Shearers record (as I'm sure he does) this may be his preferred option. Personally I would sell a 30 year old who can leave for nothing in a year and will potentially struggle with Ange pressing game to the highest foreign bidder but if he doesn’t wanna leave there's not alot we can do.
