Sini - Best one we have but can do without the injury issues (possible) 25 mil easy.
Gnonto - Loveable lad and wanna see more of the Jesse era Willy. Been drab since the international break though
Jack - Solid, will be devastating at champ level. Cant see it and probably the one worth cashing in on.
Summerville - 4th best but he'll be frighteningly good at this level. Would keep but would be the one id be least disappointed about losing.
There's a case for them all leaving tbh, keeping any would be a bonus.
I'd probably sacrifice Gnonto first and then if we have to Summerville and then keep Harrison and Sinisterra who if they can give us 30 games each will tear up this league but I sense Jack will go and that will be a huge void to fill.
Poveda looks ready to fill the void left by whomever goes.
In order of leather importance for me
Gnonto - based on how he ended the season and what his agent is saying my gut feel is his hearts not in it. I'd rather cash in
James - Not a bad player imo just lacks end product at the moment
Somerville - I will be gutted if he leaves. A lot of potential and should start. Could be one of those who if he does well could bring that into the PL if we get back up
Sinisterra - Had injuries. But if we can keep hik git he's a top player. Will create havoc at this level
Legacy of Orta's obsession with buying wingers
and sod all else. Reckon we'll shift at least two of
our current flotilla.
Fair comment Batty. Orta recruited one of the most unbalanced squads the premiership ever saw and we have a plethora of wingers, 2 injured centre forwards plus Joseph/Geldhardt to cover it as things stand.
Assuming the recruitment doesn't address that this week in time for Cardiff we are going to need some of those wingers to step up and weigh in with some goals.
Shaun's point is a good one, though others have shown touches, over the course of pre-season Poveda has been our stand-out winger, consistently good against Monaco, Forest and Hearts. He would come against sterner tests but they should be thinking about his contract.
Gnonto has been dire since the international break as others have said and if we got this player from when he first signed most would berate him as one of Orta's flops. I wouldn't be unhappy if he were to move on.
Could we include Costa in a kind of BOGOF deal for which ever winger were to leave.
It looks like they are focusing on getting a cb next. Think we need a CB Cm AM CF LB in that order
Not sure we need a cb before we need a striker.
We have Coops, Struijk, Charlie, Ayling and though it would be a waste, Ampadu as CB, not really a priority.
At centre mid, Archie, Ampadu (I know duplication), Adams (hopefully he will stay), Gyabi, Shackleton (possibly he will move on this window), so unless there is a shake up I don't think this is a priority.
We do need an Attacking midfielder, as far as I can see, Greenwood is the best option and he is injured.
The issue, as I see it, recruiting to centre forward is cost, the whole point is you want to get someone in to get you goals, if Bamford and Rutter's injuries are long term the cost is justified, if a matter of a week or two, Joffy and Joseph.
LB, it's unlikely that Firpo, being injured, will move this window, therefore it makes sense to offer Byram a short term deal and to utilise him and Hjelde in that position.
I would like there to be incomings (and some outgoings) but would not be surprised if things stay as they are, especially before Sunday.
I don't believe Rutter is a striker and Joseph is still a bit raw.
We cant rely on Bamford, that would be a disaster. We want promotion so we need goals!
With Piroe at Swansea looking like he's going to see out his final year and leave for free after that and Swansea stubbornly not lowering their excessive asking price I don't expect a new striker will be brought in this transfer window despite Bamford and Rutter looking as though they'll miss a week or two.
We have a multitude of wingers to choose from if Farke decides Joseph and Gelhardt are too inexperienced and so either Sinisterra, Summerville or Gnonto will play more central with James and one of the others above playing wide right and left.
Can see a striker coming on loan perhaps. Maybe even a Midfielder
Saying that if we have to sell a winger to get a striker then so be it.
