Overall I see Levy as a cautious and metuliculous man and these attributes have helped us but also hinder us.
=====================
I think he is anything but meticulous in football matters. I thin he is utter reckless and clueless, without any plans when it come to football.
Remember how he tore Doherty contract and let him go for free? Or how he sacked Poch as soon as he got an excuse, even after 4 years of CL and a CL final, and 2 stints at title, under Poch? Just sacked the guy without any consideration and appointed JM because he wanted to promote the club as having "serial winners" as manager! He then sacked JM 6 days before a possibility of a trophy?
The guy is a buffoon in footballing terms, and who can forget the Nuno appointment? When you look for candidate you want to use the club's brand style of play for a criteria and Nuno was not known for such style of play and yet Levy appointed him out of blue?
He is really not meticulous nor does he plan for anything....It is all haphazard, whim of the moment stuff.
This is just a glossing over that incompetent chairman's mistakes by labelling as meticulous!
He is a very good chairman for entertainment and stadium stuff off the football stuff, but he is real life Inspector Clouseau (or Clueless) when it comes to football...This is why we need Scott Munn to start asap!
VDV rumours now intensifying....
A breakthrough in negotiations....I don't think Levy did anything as he has spent the week under the bed hiding from US authorities
Paratici probably....But discussions seem to have gone past the hurdles...Let's see now how this unfolds is days before the season opener
Fabrizio Romano now jumping on the VDV bandwagon....Deal for £30m close so he says
Originally the expectations were that the deals would resume early part of next week, but I think the fact that the owners (well on of them) may have been involved in a crime, and they need to distracts potential investors from such bad publicity, this VDV deal seems to have sparked to life...Can we conclude this by end of week now?
OP, sorry hijacking your thread
Excellent article.

I disagree about being reckless.
With Poch I think we all considered he had earned more time BUT the facts, the results, the direction of travel were all very bad. Many other clubs who have been more successful than us have sacked managers for less.
And lest we forget that Poch won nothing,so there was logic in bringing in a proven winner, even if it was somewhat flawed given what proven winners usually need to be successful (lots of spending).
Who knows if Poch will have turned us around, all we do know is that what came after has been a mess and mainly on Levy.
Meticulous is a trait of micro managers and most accounts of Levy is that he is exactly that. I even know people who have dealt with THFC legals on a dispute over payments from the Joshua fight, and they say the same thing, all things agreed subject to Levy approval, Levy comes back demanding changes to details.

I hope he is not our main CB signing as I don't think he's ready to step in to such a shambolic defence. He's far from the complete player himself so is bound to have errors in him....as a Tanganga replacement would be ideal but at that price, unlikely.

I'm not sure any of the comments about Lewis' powers over the club are correct. His family now seem to have the controlling interest he once had....it didn't just disappear.
So you would have to believe that there is somebody who can tell Levy what to do.
Anyways, I'd like to see a full accounting of ENICs shares.
