It’s quite worrying and a bit depressing, how well sports washing actually works.

Whether or not City have cheated is neither the fans fault or the players,or coach. But they are the ones who will suffer if the board have

Doesn’t show that at all, it just shows kids will gravitate to the bigger teams, like they did Liverpool in the eighties and United in the nineties and noughties.

They aren’t extolling the virtues of Abu Dhabi culture by doing it.

Of course I’m worried about it. I don’t want these charges hanging over the club.

I also know that no matter what the outcome, the likes of you will remain adamant that City are guilty (you just don’t know what that “guilt” actually relates to).

It’s just boring listening to the likes of you harp on and on about something you know nothing about. And you trying to get City fans to say they are worried will be something you will use against us. Like some kind of moral victory.

You are an idiot SE. Just as Dwight is. And just as that illiterate fool forza is. You’re all boring and ignorant and deserve being called out as such.

That is the only certainty here. Regardless of what the outcome regarding the charges will be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't have any doubt you're guilty though.

You cant have the highest revenue in football like you've recently claimed you have. It's actually impossible. It takes a lot longer to produce those numbers.

I also told you that I recently took a holiday to the UAE with my wife and son. Fair enough it wasn't Abu Dhabi it was Dubai I visited but it's only 2 hour drive away. I didn't see a single person wearing a City shirt in 12 days but I saw loads of Madrid, Barca, Utd and Liverpool ones. In fact the Salah Liverpool shirt was easily the most visible one I saw. They were everywhere.

Your brand has definitely grown with the success but grown to the extent you're now making more money than clubs with fanbase ten times as big? Yeah that's just not possible.

You've achieved what you have by cheating and cooking the books. The PL certainly thinks so too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’re accusing us of something neither the PL nor Uefa have there though so that makes absolutely no sense.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exaggerating your revenue streams isn't new. That was my example as to how you must be doing. You're not a big enough brand to have the highest revenue.

What are the chances do we think that 116 charges must be all wrong?
I means the odds must be incredibly low that they have got all that wrong surely.

If say it's got to be less than 1% that not a single one of those charges is correct. There's absolutely no way they have come up with so many and gone public on a whim and without evidence.

Melts know this too. He just really really really doesn't want to accept he's supports a crooked club. 😂

116 now, are you adding an extra one each day to confirm your bitterness?

posted on 6/8/23

And you saying that shows you clearly don’t understand it. Flip it round, you’ve won very little in the past decade whilst we’ve won several titles and now the CL, that competition we’ve gone deep in several times over that period too, so factoring in price winnings from all of that as well as the global exposure of both, why wouldn’t we have a similar size revenue to you? When you have American firms independently assessing our brand value as high as they do, what makes you think your opinion has more validity then that? Particularly as you seem to be purely basing it on perceived number of fans and even you’re not that stupid to think that’s the main barometer.

On the charges, the reason why it’s 115 (it’s actually not, it’s higher than that, I still have no idea how that number stuck in the first place but that’s a different point) is because it’s counting them over multiple seasons - so if we get found not guilty on one main charge for example, then that will apply to about 20 of them. Ditto the other way round.

There’s five main charges. One of those is the failure to comply with the PL that constitutes 36 of the 115. I expect us to be found guilty of those at the very least. If we get found guilty of one of the other charges in particular (that relates to about 30 of the 115), then we’ve got a lot more to potentially worry about than PL charges (which will also now potentially be the case for Chelsea too).

The £30m UAE payment has to be included that recently came to light.

But I will let you off with that one and leave it at 115 because that's so much better isn't it?

What are the odds Boris they have got all those wrong? Go on give me an answer.

We’ve had a lot more crooked owners in the past than anything our current ownership has been accused of, why would that concern me? By that logic, why are you still a United fan, given your dislike of the Glazers? Is it you can differentiate between the club and the owners when it’s you but not for others…?

Recently came to light?

It was dealt with by CAS with a ‘Nothing to see here’ label stamped on it

There probably are a few minor infringements that will be dealt with, I imagine quite a few clubs will be getting their wrists slapped in the process

I love it how you think this is all not true. It's truly amazing how sportswashing works as the other poster said above.

Can't win trophies by yourself because you're a Tinpot club that needs charity and to cheat.

I don't like cheating melts. Your club are filthy cheats who don't play by the same rules.

Rangers had to take the fall. Juve did too and might have to again. They don't seem to be learning their lesson. Heck even the mighty Barcelona are in a bit of trouble currently.

Why should you be any different? This is another great example as to why nation states shouldn't be allowed into football because no doubt when the verdict comes the city owner will try to put pressure on the powers that be.

I'm not the moron. You're the real morons for actually believing anything that your board says. It's blantantly obvious you've been cooking the books for years.

I'm not the slightest bit bitter about anything you've 'achieved'. When you have to get a nation state to back you and then to break the rules to win also it's not something I envy in the slightest. That's not achievement in my eyes. It's as close to a formality as there is.

Would be like a tour de France rider envying Lance Armstrong after they knew he was doping.

Have much more respect for what you won as a club 50 years ago.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Financial doping isnt any better. You've still gained an unfair advantage over others so I don't see how it's any different personally. Cheating is cheating and the PL seem to agree.

If you knew it was okay to do what you did those leaked emails wouldn't have been explaining how your own club could get around certain rules. Caught with your pants down because you're still running Windows 95 level security. 😂

Abu Dhabi Cheaters. What an credit to the region you are. Heck maybe your owner will grace us with his 3rd ever appearance in 14 years when the announcement comes. You know that man you will have us believe really cares about the club and City but never comes here.

So to get it right, you’re happy to pass judgment before you even know what the verdict is? In which case, you’ve been under investigation by HMRC for the last several years, do you consider yourselves filthy cheats already?

You don’t even know what we’ve been accused of - you think it’s inflated revenue which has never been the accusation.

And for the record for the umpteenth time, I have never said once whether I believe we’re innocent or not as I’ve not seen all of the evidence. What I have seen I don’t think is a particularly big deal at all but if we get found guilty of fraudulently presenting inaccurate accounts then we deserve everything coming to us, as would anyone.

City are accused of 50 breaches of providing inaccurate financial information, eight breaches in relation to manager remuneration from 2009 to 2013, 12 breaches in relation to player remuneration from 2010 to 2015, five breaches linked to UEFA financial regulations, 25 profitability and sustainability breaches and 30 breaches of assisting the Premier League investigation, which dates back to March 2019. If found guilty, City face punishments ranging from fines and points deductions to expulsion from the league, making the stakes incredibly high.
