So, Everton at home in the nect round of the Carabao Cup. I hope we get a bumper crowd!
I came across a Hull City YouTube fan Vlog on the Rovers match this week. Very balanced in his views. He was impressed with Rovers and the Rovers fans. Thought we played like a Championship or top of League One side. Maybe there's hope yet!

I'm very positive for this season though it's not going to be plain sailing. The team isn't settled yet so I don't think we'll be consistent just yet. It could go either way at Rodney Parade. Even though there will be no welcome for me. I'm thinking a draw is likely but I'll wait to see the team before predicting.

Interesting to see how the new signing is going to fit into the team. Won't be easy as Modou Faal is 6ft 5"!.
He now has Miller, Ironside and Griffiths as strikers.

A very impressive interview on YouTube in that Hoden kept asking him more or less the same question and he was able to give him a variety of answers saying more or less the same thing.

Any striker who is fast and 6-5 sounds the next best thing to Haaland. How can he fail? But then again Andrews and Cukur were both big enough see over most of the other heads around them…

No, this fellow had an amazing record in the 6th tier, and it’s got to be third time lucky.

I'll stay positive - Newport 1 Rovers 2. Biggins to score if he starts, if not, Miller or whoever starts in the central striker role.

Both teams had a good result in midweek against higher league opposition so this won't be an easy game. I'll also say 2-1 to Rovers. Molyneaux with the first.

I'm going 1 - 1 Miller.

Afternoon all - good to be back - especially with the positive mood around - I really thought that we had entered a spiral of continued decline but although its early days mccann appears to have started back on the right track - going to predict a 1-0 victory for the rovers with Miller to get the goal

Newport 1-2 Rovers
George Miller to continue his scoring run⚽

The only way is up now. Or is it!

There can be nothing positive about being 24th in League 2 whether it is after 2 games or 46.

There may be some individuals who can be exempted from blame, but this was totally incompetent as a team performance. You would expect McCann to recognise that excuses are unacceptable. Harrogate losing at home today to Forest Green adds an unfavourable context to last Saturday’s result and although there are still 44 games to go, promotion suddenly looks a distant dream.

Has anyone scored a DPL point yet? 😅

No, but I should think that we’ll have all 3 possible results forecasted for the next game.

It is back to the worst under Schofield! When it went to 3-0 it was like several times last season - I switched to watch a Premier League game (BHA vs Luton this time).

It looked as though they were at least a division above us. Olowu seems to be filling the RSW role now and either we are worse than we were last season or the opponents are better.

Although it may be deluded, I did get the impression that both Harrogate and Newport were much sharper and skilful than what was typical of the opposition last season. Both seemed much more competitive, pouncing on our players before they had time to control the ball.

Donaldo, you are so right - Harrogate and Newport were much more attacking everything all over the pitch. I though Grant was developing this in the Rovers. but we were out-fought everywhere.
So how bad are Hull as a Championship team?
