Well Tottenham got his peak years, Ronaldo we didn't as much

Because they were both academy players that spent their best days at the club and then left.
Kane’s gonna freak out when he lifts a trophy in his first match for Bayern.
At least United had won a load of stuff with Ronaldo and had other world class players in the squad.
It's probably a bit more like RVP leaving Arsenal as he was their only world class player and didn't really win much at the club, only an FA Cup at the start when he was just getting into the team. They had the brunt of his career compared to any other club, although Kane's record was much better than RVP's.
No, they don’t deserve any sympathy.

I was going to do a similar article yesterday. It’s impossible not to feel sympathy for the genuine Spurs supporters who, right to the end, thought that he was “one of their own” and certain to stay.
Despite all the evidence to the contrary. He was desperate to go to City two years ago and was denied his dream move. Some of the more deluded comments came on Thursday as some were posting stuff like
“He”s going nowhere” 😂
“He’s really been impressed with Ange and bought into his philosophy” 😂😂
“We’re a bigger club than Bayern” 😂😂😂
“If he gives us one more year and we get top four and a trophy, he’ll sign a new contract” 😂😂😂😂
Spurs finished eighth with a world class coach and a world class striker, now they’ve both gone! Welcome to the annual relegation battle.

Was an elementary school kid at the time, but if I recall, Beckham's departure wasn't really seen as some major upheaval after falling out with Fergie and his diminishing output on the pitch. He didn't nearly define Man Utd in the way Kane has Tottenham over the last decade, and he wasn't delivering as Kane was still doing for Spurs. I mean, Kane scored 30 PL goals last season, matching his highest career return.
Can’t think of such a high profile player leaving his boyhood club in his 30s having won Nothin g.
Sheringham had won a couple smaller trophies and played for 3 clubs before he joined us. Campbell is probably the closest I can think of. I remember Batistuta leaving Fiorentina for Roma and winning the scudetto but that wasn’t his boyhood club.
But Beckham adored the club much like I imagine Kane does with Spurs. Both left after spending the vast majority of their career at one club. Ronaldo wanted to leave and I’m pretty sure his dream was to always play for Real where he went on to spend his best years.

Steve Bull?
I think Beckham would have loved to have stayed at United because he loves the club but also his fame was probably making him think about other options but Ferguson was fed up with it and wanted him out. Ferguson had no issues with getting rid of big names and knowing when to replace them, not sure how long he had planned to replace Beckham with Ronaldinho as that was the initial plan but when that went out the window we got Ronaldo instead. I can imagine the lure of being a Galactico was very appealing to brand Beckham.
Did Bull ever go anywhere after Wolves and win anything though?
I remember as a kid and being really confused why Bull a League 2 player was in the England WC ‘90 squad. Never actually watched him play, was he that good?
